Guide Gear Hang On Tree Stand for Hunting with Seat and Foot Platform, Deer Hunting Accessories

I got this for my husband as a birthday gift and he was really excited about it. He said it feels sturdy and well made, and he liked that it wasn’t overly bulky while still feeling secure once set up. The seat is comfortable enough for longer sits, and it seems like it will hold up well during hunting season. He also mentioned that it was easier to carry and set up than some older stands he’s used before. Overall, really happy with this purchase. If you’re looking for a gift for someone who enjoys hunting, this ended up being a great option

I don't think you will find a better hang on stand for less, it's priced right. I hunt on public land so I'm not going to buy a $200+ stand to have a determined thief steal it from me. It's not aluminum like the expensive stands but compared to other steel stands I think is reasonable light weight. The platform has ample space to stand and rest your feet. 3 minor things I'm not too crazy about, one is the ratchet straps, they're loud so I will be replacing them with cam lock straps. The second is the seat, about 1 inch so not comfortable for a long seating. I will add a foam cushion, right now I'm using a hot seat. Last, mine didn't come with the straps to carry it on your back, what I did was remove the straps from 2 bags, clip them to the platform in order to carry it on my back. These are all minor things that anyone can overlook. P.S. I use an extra heavy duty cam lock strap as a security measure. I plan to leave it on locked to a tree this season, I will update this review after this season is over if the stand breaks/fails. I will also check all the bolts, cables, sand any rust spots and paint it for next season.

Hung this stand the day after I received it. It is strong and sturdy. I am a big man and it holds my weight just fine. Easiest hang on stand I have ever hung in my life. Padded seat is good. It folds up if you want to stand for a bit. Overall great stand for price... Thinking about getting a few more for other locations. Just make sure after climbing out of it you tighten your straps they will stretch and the stand will pull in the tree some with your weight climbing on it. Only issue I have is I have noticed some rust spots coming up on it everywhere. In the grate where the feet are and the seat. (Like it didn't get painted good.) Not a major issue since I caught it so fast I can paint over it and fix that problem.

While I prefer a larger platform, it's an excellent stand given the price. I have three of these I use on public land.

Perfect for dedicated trees where you can leave it. Wouldn’t recommend for a hang in hunt set up

Price is good, has a nice platform and seat isnt bad. However this is the noisest stand I've hunted out of. It creeks, clanks, pops, makes some type of sound with any movement at all. I doubt is buy another one. I love my Big Game hang on, and have a muddy I am going to hang im looking forward to trying. Anyone else have the noise issue?

I bought one last year before Hunting season then decided to buy two more because they get the job done and for a bargain...last year they were like $32.97 but plus $8.99 shipping so when I saw free shipping this year 2013 I jumped on it ....and just bought my 4th one. if you dont care about keeping up with all the hunting trends and or need a super light wieght aluminum and just want a functioning set up this is it!!!!!!! I am very happy with all my stands so far and will let you know if this new 4th one is a let down or if is the same as my other three from last year....Oh and thought I should say that I did have to purchase some extra plastic washers to keep it extra quiet but besides that it is what it is....good deal as far as I am concerned.

Great value for a sturdy stand. Needed a lock on for those places I cannot use my climber. Read a lot of comments saying cables were different lengths. Before I trust my life to something (esp. if made in China), I will take apart and inspect. My finding on cables was simply that if they arrive tightened and set at different angles they will appear to be different lengths. Once “lined up” they were the same. I put it on a tree and it's very solid and very quiet. Paint job was fine and I personally camo painted mine so no need to worry about rust. Will actually order two more bc I can have more options for different places and I’m very impressed for the price.
