Start off by washing and cleaning your car with the Menzerna Control Cleaner. Go on by buffing your car with the Heavy Cut Compound 1000 by using criss-cross motions. The milky film should be worked in until its semi-translucent. Wipe off any residue with a microfiber cloth. Follow up with our Step 2 and 3 polishes and Step 4 top coats to seal the deal. You can see the final results after 20 to 30 minutes of drying time. I scraped the side of my car in the Trader Joe’s parking lot and was so upset. I thought for sure I would need to go to a body shop to have the scratches removed. But the 1000 heavy cut compound removed nearly all of the scratches in under 10 minutes by hand, very easily— except where the paint was scratched all the way through, which you can see in the photo. I used the round accessory sponge and it was like magic how nearly all of the scratches immediately disappeared. The photos say it all. I initially tried the 400 compound and it did not do the trick. However, the 1000 worked like a charm. I highly recommend it!

It is easy to apply and remove and gave quick results by both hand application and rotary using a hard cut foam pad and leaves a nice glossy shine. I will be using their other products in a step down process when I finish the hard cut and based on results so far, expect the finish to look amazing.,

I would say this is more of a medium cut, it will remove light scratches but deeper ones will still need to be wetsanded. This cleaned up my 2000grit sanding marks and was easy to remove but it left a haze that needed a polish to clear up.
