For the price it's a very good deal. The case is compact and fits into my suitcase and rucksack. The case is well made with good quality zips and fabrics; it should be durable. Protection wise, it has a very nicely designed protective compartment that is easy to load the laptop into but it snugs onto my MBP M4 as the zip is done up (the soft padding folds inwards as the zip is done up so the laptop is gentle held in place - a really nice touch). It has two external zipper pockets with compartments to organise chargers, external drives, phone and a lanyard for keys etc. On the rear is a 'hidden' open pocket which is my only minor gripe as things can easily fall out or water get in; adding a flap to cover the 'hidden' pocket would have been an improvement. Adding a strap here to attach the case to luggage would have been useful for traveling. But it is churlish to complain at the price I paid. Hence five stars.
