To rats and mice it tastes awful . . . they stop chewing . . . damage stops. It is not a deterrent to make them stay away, it is not a poison to kill them and spraying this product all over the place to keep them away is pointless! I bought this for two vehicles where we are getting rodent damage to the hoses and wiring in the engine compartment. This product is not expensive β€” I did both vehicles with more than enough left over to do them again in 6 months time. Note: I first sprayed the damaged cables . . . I then used plastic spiral cable tidy (various sizes bought on desertcart) to cover the damaged areas of wiring and then sprayed the cable tidies! I did try Anti rodent rats & mice electrical deterrent insulation tape . . . which was expensive for a very small quantity added to which it had poor adhesion (not self-amalgamating) and started to unravel within a week!
