Brilliant product
Pleased with these, no idea how to use them as a present but all good when it arrived

Avoid soldering where you can.
Ideal when adding additional tracks or creating sectional control on layout. Use insulated joiners before isolating each section with separate power feed using wired joiners on DPDT/CO switch. Allows shunting behind train using analogue control. Obviously with DCC the is no problem controlling individual locos. wired joiners are simply convenient. No soldering.

Just the job!
I'm a bit "ham-fisted" when it comes to soldering small parts like wires to joiners so these were just what I needed and are certainly soldered well!
