Perfect for getting into awkward places
This is exactly what I needed, every toolbox should have one, comes in a nice pouch with extra blades.

Did the job, but...
Bought this to hacksaw off some rusted toilet seat fittings, and it was cheap enough that even if it only did this one job I wouldn't feel ripped off. Coming with two blades was handy if one of them broke. I worked, but the butterfly nut holding the blade in place doesn't grip as tightly as I'd wish. If I had regular use for a Padsaw I'd buy one with a more sturdy handle and a knurled nut to lock the blade, but this tool did the job I asked so I won't mark it down too much. If you never used one before remember that in a regular hacksaw the blade is held under tension, and is much stiffer and stronger. In the padsaw handle the blade can bend or break if you get too enthusiastic. John

Blade is too thin.
The handle itself is fine, nothing special but at this price point that's to be expected. The blade however is terrible, very thin and after a few forward and back cuts it starts to bend out of shape. I'm hoping that adding a decent quality blade will resolve that issue.

Product is dangerous..
Product looked great, until required.. The blades slip in the holder and has enough space to wedge two blades in meaning the blades break easy. the nut holding the blade loosens over time, the major issue though is the fact there's a hole at the bottom to insert new blades, If you're sawing away and the blade slips out the holder, and your hand is there.. well have some first aid on hand as you will likely be cut like I was. Ideally, there should be a nut to secure the blade fully not just clamping in place, and the bottom hole isn't needed as you can slip the blade in at the top. Imagine if this was a carpet knife.. and there was a hole at the bottom.. not great. I should have spent more for something safer.

Handy little tool
Used this to slide between the door and frame of a cabinet in order to saw through a lock that had jammed. Worked a treat.

no grip
pretty rubbish. the handle should squeaze together to grip the blade but the do not and the blade slides in and out when you try to use it.

Recomended.
Very useful. A small drill hole will allow you to get at difficult areas. The handle is comfortable as I am sure that, like me, many people will have suffered a sore hand by trying to use a hacksaw blade with no handle to get to difficult areas.

Typische Japanware
Sägt wie Butter. Wenn ich da an mein teures Sägeblatt von Fein denke....dann kauf ich mir doch lieber eine Handsäge, die trotz Handbetrieb der Elektrotechnik weit überlegen ist.

Curious little Japanese Saw
This is a LIGHT DUTY saw. Cutting plastic, smaller-diameter PVC pipe, notching wood, thin aluminum, Styrofoam, this saw can tackle those with the proper blade easily. If you need to cut things with more "Oomph" - this isn't going to do it. Go grab an actual full-length hacksaw with a blade tension adjustment and go to town. I've used this saw for several projects around the house and it performed fine as long as I didn't overstep the expectations of what this compact portable little gizmo can handle. My only gripe might be that I wished it had a Metal Handle instead of plastic, like you'd find with utility knives. Having an aluminum handle would be a significant step-up in the perceived value of this saw, but it's not the end of the world either. Because the blade sticks out and forward from the handle without any support, you will find that the saw blade can "wobble" a bit more under pressure and even bend or snap if you are really struggling with what you're trying to cut. My advice (besides ALWAYS WEAR SAFETY GLASSES) is to cut slowly and deliberately with this tool. Don't ask it to cut through a 2-inch tree limb. Sheet Metal of any significant gauge isn't what you want to use this for. Small or minimal cross-section cuts in softer material is really what this saw performs best at. It's been handy. I've reached for it here and there where I didn't feel like breaking out the regular hacksaw for some quick, easy task and this was sitting closer to me. Worth the money? Meeeeh. Maybe? If you use it often enough, sure. If it ends up sitting in your tool drawer because that one time you tried cutting a heavy brass fitting with it and it was AWFUL to use, maybe not. I like it. I get use out of it. Takes up almost no room on the workbench. The provided blades are not Da Best I've ever tried, but it'll work with nearly any other common brand-name hacksaw blade out there. For a "quickie" tool it's done really well with what I think it could effectively handle.
