This is a great emergency item. I love that it has a hand crank AND a solar panel. This is perfect for camping or just as a backup for power outages. The radio works well and we found the NOAA weather station clear and helpful. It is lightweight and easy to hold and maneuver. I think this is a must have for any location prone to storms - winter or summer. I actually ordered this as a gift to my SO. He lives in the Adirondacks and usually has a power failure or two a year. He does have a generator but that's mainly to keep the refrigerator going and a light. When the internet goes out (phone service is spotty) it's hard for him to get storm and weather updates. He was happy to open this and kept finding new useful features - the room light, the phone charger etc. This is full of features and a great buy. The perfect gift for the hard to buy for.

I love this radio. It has all features that I want, radio, weather, flash light, reading light, and hand crank, as well as a charger. Unfortunately the reading light does not charge (it is solar). I can't wait for the new radio to arrive. Return was easy and I am returning the item to Kohl's with return information.

Great product!!! I have used it several times during emergencies. It has not disappointed. I was able to listen to the news on radio, charge my phone, and have light. Great solar powered, hand crank, or electric recharging. I let my general handle the bigger jobs,but the convenience and quality is worth it. I recommend this product for every home. It is definitely great to have during disasters and power outages!!!!

Overall a very good radio and piece of emergency equipment. Radio picks up FM and weather stations easily and well. The flashlights work well. If you flip up the solar panel, there is a “flood light” on the back side which is very handy. Battery seems to last long which is nice. Especially if you only use the radio only. I subtract 1 star because the solar panel is USELESS. I tried for 4 days with constant sunlight to recharge the battery with the solar panel and couldn’t even get 1/4 charge. I was able to run the radio which is nice. So if you decide to go with this radio, do not expect the solar panel to do anything for you. Overall it’s a good radio to add to your emergency kit.

I got this for emergency situations since you never know what could happen and I think having both solar and hand crank power options is important. It’s a little bit on the large side but it’s small enough to throw in your go bag. It’s definitely portable and comes with a carry strap for easy carrying. The flashlight is bright enough for most situations however the spot could be a lot bigger and I love the lamp since that will def come in handy for blackouts but that could be a bit brighter too The radio works fine and offers both AM and FM frequencies. I was able to pick up all the local stations as long as I had the antenna up. I haven’t really had a chance to test the battery life but I will report on that later. For the price I think it’s def worth the value for peace of mind. You get light, power and communications. Pros: It has a flashlight It has a lamp Radio Backup power Solar and crank Cons: Flashlight spot could be bigger Overall I think this or something like it is needed in every house. JUST IN CASE.

Let me start by saying that like many people, I sometimes don't get a product until after I find myself in a situation where said product could have come in handy. Recently where I live, we experienced a power outage between one day and 7 Days. I was amongst the people who was out of power for 3 Days. During those 3 days, life was a little inconvenient. Because of my situation, I need to stay connected to the outside world. Having a radio like this is wonderful because it will help. But added bonus of the solar charging is great so that if the juice runs out, you can get more thanks to good old regular sunlight. Although the flashlight won't do me any good personally, I am sure that for those with working eyeballs, it will be much appreciated. The fact that it has a battery bank for your phone is a plus but it is not the main reason why I purchased it. Personally, I think a dedicated battery Bank will do better for this situation. I also like the fact that it has an SOS siren. The thing is loud. Definitely works. All in all, I would say get it. Yes, there are other similar radios on the market with less features or that cost less. However, this one is made Solid, it is light, it is easy to use, and for those who don't have working eyeballs, it is completely tactile so a person who can see can use it even with their eyes closed.

I’m not a doomsday prepper by any means, but it’s always smart to have a backup plan in case something happens. This emergency radio is exactly what I needed. I love that you can crank the arm to charge the radio or even an external device, so you’re never without power. The radio works great and all the extra features like the solar cells, flashlight, reading light, and SOS alarm make this an amazing buy for more than just emergencies. It’s also perfect for camping, hiking, or traveling to other countries. I feel a lot more prepared with this in my gear!

This is a very cool radio. Nice size, the music plays nice and loud with great sound. The flash light is very bright. It’s great that the battery can be solar charged and the hand crank works great too. I like the fact that I can also charge my phone or iPad if need be. I haven’t actually had to use this due to power outage but, it is August and I live in SW Florida. We have 3 solid months left of hurricane season. I pray I won’t need it this season but realistically I probably will. I feel a little better having this on hand.

This is a useful emergency item to have around and I am highly satisfied with this product. There are similar products which are priced cheaper but I voted for the bigger capacity battery and compact design.

Amazing powerful crank light. Decent size and radio works well. I would definitely recommend everyone purchase one for emergencies. This is a quality crank radio.
