InSinkErator Power .75HP, 3/4 HP Garbage Disposal, Power Series EZ Connect Continuous Feed Food Waste Disposer, Black

I did a lot of research before pulling the trigger on this one, and I'm happy to say the InSinkErator Power .75HP lived up to every expectation. From unboxing to first use, the whole experience was smooth and straightforward. The EZ Connect system is genuinely easy. I had my old disposal out and this one fully installed in under 30 minutes — no plumber needed. The wiring was simple and the mounting mechanism twisted right into place without any of the fumbling I've experienced with other brands in the past. If you're even remotely comfortable with basic home improvement tasks, you can absolutely handle this yourself. Once it was up and running, I was immediately impressed by the power. The 3/4 HP motor chews through food scraps — vegetable peels, citrus rinds, even small chicken bones — without hesitation or jamming. I've run it through everything our kitchen throws at it and it hasn't skipped a beat. Not a single clog, not a single reset needed. What also surprised me was how quiet it runs compared to my old disposal. It's not silent, but it's noticeably smoother and less rattly, which I appreciate when the kitchen is otherwise quiet in the morning. The black finish also looks sharp under the sink — a small detail, but a nice one. Build quality feels solid and durable, like it's built to last well beyond a few years of daily use. Overall, this is exactly the kind of appliance you want: you install it, you forget it's there, and it just works. Couldn't be happier with the purchase.

I installed this disposal as a replacement for a Franke Brand one that had been in our kitchen for about 18 years. No issues installing the new one at all and it is very quiet and works well. Good value and it seems powerful.

This has been a solid garbage disposal so far and feels like a noticeable step up from the cheaper builder-grade units. The 3/4 HP motor has plenty of power for normal kitchen use and handles food waste without bogging down or constantly needing to be babied. Installation was straightforward, especially with the EZ Connect system. If you already have an outlet under the sink and the compatible power cord, it makes the process much quicker and less frustrating than hardwiring everything. The mounting system was familiar and went in without much drama. Noise level is reasonable for a disposal — it’s not whisper quiet, but it’s definitely not obnoxious either. Power is where this thing shines. It chews through normal food scraps confidently and hasn’t given me any issues with clogging or struggling. A couple honest notes: like any disposal, it’s not a trash can — fibrous stuff, grease, and oversized scraps still deserve some common sense. Also, if you’re replacing an older unit, double-check your plumbing alignment since outlet height can vary slightly. Overall, this feels like a good middle-ground sweet spot: more power and durability than entry-level units without spending premium money, and the EZ Connect setup makes installation much easier.

Works great & very quiet

Had to replace an Insinkerator Badger 5 disposal that broke after 13 years. I was planning to replace it with another Badger 5 until I saw that this one claimed to be a "quick install," to operate more quietly, and have a better warranty. (I was disappointed to learn the Badger 5 now only has a 2-year warranty.) The good: this 3/4 HP Garbage Disposal definitely operates far more quietly than the Badger 5. For that, I am thankful. However, this unti wasn't "easier" to install than the Badger 5. This disposal actually fits on the previous sink mount used for the Badger 5, and yet, this unit actually needs the sink mount that comes with it as the opening is 1/8 –1/4 inch narrower than the opening of the Badger 5. So don't be fooled like I was - if you get this one, plan to remove the old sink mount, even if it looks to be the same size. You'll save yourself the time of installing, thinking everything is going great, and then having to undo all of your work so that you can put on the correct sink mount. Lastly, I wish the EZ Connect for plug-in came with this unit rather than being a separate purchase. I'm glad I caught the facdt that I had to make the purchase, but I can foresee some people missing that fact and getting frustrated when they open it up and it is set-up for a hard-wired unit. So Insinkerator, if you want to make your customers happy by being a company that goes above and beyond, provide everything needed without having to make a separate purchase.

Had a Badger 15ss from 2012 that finally rusted out and started leaking...motor was still going strong. Replaced it with this Power .75HP, was easy drop in replacement, didn't have to do anything other than figure out that new connector, but now that that is done, the next replacement will be even easier as the cable will only take 30 seconds to replace, and the rest is super easy, will probably be a 5 minute swap another 14 years down the road :-). I almost opted for a cheaper different brand, but decided against that as I didn't want to do any plumbing...and I'm glad I spend the extra money, saved a lot of time and headache. This one is also slightly quieter than my old Badger 15ss.

Easy install and so far is working very well. My son installed it very quickly. I also purchased a 4-year protection plan so that if it quits, it will be replaced with just the cost of the protection plan. Previously, my other Insinkerator lasted about 4 years. One day, it got very noisy so that's when I decided to purchase this new one. I read tons of reviews including some of the one-star reviews before reaching my decision to purchase this brand. Overall, Insinkerator is a good value and is fairly durable.
