The camera is great while it is working. I ordered a kit with 2 cameras in November 2024 and one of them lost its ability to connect to the internet even standing 5 feet away. It worked only for 15 months. But Customer Service reached out right away and the camera is working as expected. Blink cameras are an excellent choice and Customer support is also excellent.

Love these cameras! We tried several security cameras and these are by far our favorite! We do have the cloud subscription but compared to the price of others we find it very reasonable. We pay ours a year at a time, it saves you about 20 doing it that way. If you can’t pay a year in advance it’s only 10 a month. To us, we believe that is a fair price like I said compared to the others and you don’t have to mess with SD card. We purchased I believe the plus bonus plan so we can add more cameras in the future without paying extra for cloud storage. We have the box for the cameras plugged into our kitchen and our camera outside on our detached garage on the furthest side away from our home reaches no problem and we do not have a WiFi extender. Super easy to hang up and to set of on the app. The batteries say two year life but honestly it just depends on how much activity the camera gets, my advice is to get rechargeable batteries or pay the extra buck for good batteries. The battery life is still great no complaints and we live in town on a corner lot so we get a lot of motion detections. Which you can also control the motion detections in the app. The picture at night is freaking awesome as well. I like how you can talk through the camera as well. My only complaint which is honestly probably due to our internet is that there is about a 2-3 second lag when a motion is detected. For example, my wife got home and locked her car so I heard the honk and I got on the cameras to talk to her and by the time it loaded I saw her walking in the front yard she was already opening the door, so like I said about a 2-3 sec lag. And if you have it set to record for 30 secs or however long, there is a few seconds in between recordings if there is still motion detected. So if your outside talking to someone and it continues to record when it hits the record time and restarts you loose a few seconds in between. (You can also change how long it records when a motion is detected.) Bottom line super happy with the purchase!

I’m using these cameras for indoor use, because they’re wireless. So far, video and sound quality is good, installlation and set up was easy! I love that the sync module automatically updates wifi to these cameras! We have to change our WiFi password often, so going around to reset every device isn’t fun. The blink mini 1 and 2 doesn’t have this feature, so the up have to be manually reset anytime the network changes. On the blink mini 2, when you speak through the cameras the sound is so low no one can hear you, that’s not a problem on this one. They’ve not been running long enough to know about battery life, but we be had one outdoor one for about a year and the batteries are still good in that one. I wish these cameras in white, but the quality and function are good so far. Just follow the instructions for set up, bc if someone is walking directly towards the camera, it won’t start recording until they’re right up on it. That is unfortunate, but you can play with ways to angle it so you can view the area you need to.

I bought this because I could get a discount on my insurance for having a Wi-Fi security camera on my house but as it turns out it’s become a very handy device. I get a notification on the app whenever I get deliveries so I know when they’re here or it tells me when friends that are coming over have arrived. It does not take long video or have a live feed but does give you video clips so if you’re looking for a live feed camera, this may not be the one, but it works great and the clips to show you who is there and what they’re doing? I’ve even captured cats on my front porch in the middle of the night or deer walking through the front yard. It was fairly easy to connect and to install and does come with a two-year lithium battery which at some point will need to be replaced, but that’s a good bargain as you don’t have to hardwire it and have that expense.
