My chain saw arrived in its storage case with the saw and tools flopping around in the case. Is this the way it’s supposed to be?

My saw arrived with the outer case sealed in plastic and the tools inside sealed in bubble wrap and plastic.

I did not receive the oil in my case

In my package was a very small vial of clear liquid, maybe one ounce, which I assume to be oil. Vegetable oil or chainsaw oil, I don't know which. and I do not understand what oil to use when the vial becomes empty (none is prescribed). Instructions say use vegetable oil if trimming fruit trees, because mineral oil might damage the trees. So I assume vegetable oil is ok and I'll just use that.

What is the chain speed? How many feet per second does it cut?

It is a small, battery powered saw with a 4" blade. I don't know how fast or slow the chain moves, about average for any chainsaw I would guess, but it will not cut at any 'feet per second'. It WILL cut through a 2" branch in less than a minute though, with very little effort on my part, holding it in one hand. I have limbed and cut down several small trees with it so far and I am very happy with it!
