I purchased this dress (sized for 5 year old) for a four year old neighbour. The dress fits her perfectly, so I would recommend selecting at least one size larger than the child you're buying for. The dress is very cute and well constructed. As other buyers have said, however, some of the additional items (e.g. the sceptre) broke quite easily. Regardless, this is an excellent buy that most little girls will love.
