This did fill the gap between my mattress and headboard but it was just too big and bulky and stuck out too much. It interfered with my pillow and pushed me further down towards the foot of the bed. It might work if you are looking for a headrest. At the end of the day I realized it would take a "perfect, custom fit" to accomplish what I was trying to do. I returned it (which is difficult to do because it comes all shrunk up with the air removed and expands when unboxed. The company wants it returned in it's "original" container - a near impossibility without a super suction device,)
