Skylight Calendar – 15" Touchscreen Digital Calendar & Chore Chart, White

I originally bought a different digital calendar and ended up returning it because I wasn’t happy with it. This one checked every box I was looking for. The combination of a digital photo frame and family calendar is perfect. Instead of another screen on the counter, it actually adds something to the room while keeping everyone’s schedule front and center. The interface is what impressed me most. I didn’t have to hunt through menus or guess what button to press. Everything is laid out in a way that just makes sense. The AI feature has been a huge time saver. I can type or talk naturally and have it add appointments, reminders, or tasks without tapping through a bunch of screens. The chores, stars, and rewards system has been a great motivator for my toddler. It’s simple enough that they understand it, and earning stars has made everyday routines much easier. I also like that each family member can choose their own character. It’s a small feature, but it makes the calendar feel personalized and easy to glance at. If you’re looking for a family calendar that’s easy to learn, quick to update, and doesn’t feel overcomplicated, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

I bought this calendar during Prime Deals to help get my kids and husband organized with chores, routines, and our daily schedule. I purchased the black 15-inch version, and I can honestly say it’s exactly as described online. It’s super easy to use and very kid-friendly. You can add tasks, events, routines, recipes, meals, and even photos. If plans change, it’s easy to skip or edit tasks without any hassle. One of my favorite features is the rewards section, where you can give your kids stars ⭐️ for completing their chores and routines. It also has a sleep mode, which is a nice bonus, and you can even set time limits to help everyone stay on track and finish their daily chores. So far, I haven’t experienced any issues, and I definitely think it’s worth the money. It’s made organizing our household much easier, and I would absolutely recommend it to my family and friends.

One of the biggest things I love is how seamlessly it syncs with multiple calendars. We connected Google Calendar within minutes, and now everyone’s schedules automatically appear in one place. No more constantly asking, “What time is your appointment?” or “Who’s picking up the kids?” Everything is visible at a glance, color-coded, and incredibly easy to manage. It has seriously reduced stress and confusion in our house. The layout is extremely well designed. It looks modern and sleek on the wall, almost like a digital picture frame, so it blends nicely into the home instead of looking bulky or cluttered. The screen quality is excellent, and the interface is smooth and intuitive. Adding events, chores, meal plans, and reminders is quick and straightforward. What surprised me most was how much more consistent our routines became after using this calendar. My wife pushed me to purchase this Skylight Calendar as we head into the new school year. Our kids are finally at an age that they want to know all the things. What do we have going on during the day, what are we eating, and what chores should they be doing. Well a few weeks in, I can say this is a game changer with a few caveats. Integrating calendars could not be easier. We are an Apple household and it was very easy to make our calendars public to get a shareable link and add those into the Skylight companion app. Within minutes we had the calendar reflecting all our shared, personal, and sports calendars. I think we may have 5 - 6 syncing without issue. Skylight also offers a holiday calendar that we enabled. Profiles allow you to easily create task lists for your kids. Both of our kids have repeating daily tasks, think empty the dishwasher or shower, that were easy to create. They also have weekly chores, like pulling weeds, that we setup. While viewing the calendar, you can enable a view to show how many tasks they have for the day and how many they have completed. As they complete these, they can easily mark them off. As they complete tasks, if you pay for the subscription, you can assign star values so they can claim rewards. We have setup a few rewards for them, but still playing with the value of rewards to number of tasks they are doing. We are also using this as a digital picture frame, which you must also pay for through the subscription. They say the photo storage is unlimited. I think your cloud storage is unlimited, but the device has to have a cap. Currently have maybe 300 photos synced to. After 5 minutes of no one using it, it begins to go through them. One complaint I have, is even though I’ve synced 300 photos, I tend to see the same ones a lot. I don’t have any proof, but think the device may refresh the photos it has in its storage, but not hold them all which is why. From a form factor standpoint, this is a well built device. It feels very solid and has a pretty crisp screen. It includes a stand or wall mounting parts. I have no fear of my kids damaging this device, hopefully. Overall I think this is a great device for keeping a family who has kids without their own phones/devices on track with what’s going on, on task with chores, and display family photos. However, a few complaints: 1. A subscription to unlock rewards, meal planning, using it as a digital picture frame is kinda crazy for the cost of the device. 2. While there is a sleep mode to turn the display off at night. It’s on all the time. Feel like they should have included a sensor to detect motion to save energy. 3. While ours has been on and connected for a few weeks, I know there is an update out there that includes weather that we have not gotten yet and there is no way to force a software update. So kind of at the mercy of when updates come out. Overall a great little device, with some quirks.

We are a family of 7 and this has single handedly been the most helpful tool to our household this year. The kids love the tasks and rewards systems (I think the rewards system requires the yearly subscription, but it's worth it). This thing quickly replaced our family calendar and now everyone easily knows what is expected of them every day. the 15 inch screen fits perfectly on a counter top or ledge and is plenty big as to not strain your eyes. It's pretty simple to set up and sync your phones right out of the box. The most unexpectedly fun feature of it has been the photo gallery screen saver. We add tons of photos to it and we enjoy watching them scroll through. If you can swing the cost of it, it's worth checking out.

Within 15 mins of plugging the Skylight and setting it up, the screen turned white, black borders (burning), with thin vertical black lines showing. I used the provided power adapter and cable. I even subscribed for the annual Plus plan. Not sure whether to repurchase or try a different product…. So disappointed…

Very good Bout extremely expensive

I LOVE IT!!! It has made family life so much more organised. We have not had take away in 3 weeks due to the meal plan feature. All our appointments and events are easy to see and edit if needed, our work schedule, the kids activities. The fact I can have multiple To-Do lists all in the same location is amazing. And everything is all linked to both mine and my husbands phones. I think everyone's favourite feature is the photo screensaver that rotates through all the photos we've uploaded.. We love this product and definitely recommend if you want to be organised.
