This drill but saved me a ridiculous amount of time putting in my garden. Instead of digging every hole by hand like some kind of medieval peasant with a tomato agenda, I attached this to my drill and let technology do the suffering. It made planting faster, easier, and a lot less annoying. The holes were clean, consistent, and ready to go in seconds. I used it for garden planting, and it turned what would have been a long, back-aching project into something much more manageable. Is it fancy? Not really. It’s basically a dirt tornado on a drill. But it works, and it works well. Super sturdy and has survived everything so far including hitting a fair number of rocks. Five stars. My garden got planted faster, my back complained less, and I got to feel like I was using power tools for agriculture, which is honestly half the fun.

This thing works great, and fast. I used to have a longer one, smaller diameter. My drill eventually "stripped the threads" on it, right in the middle of planting season this year. Grrr. Couldn't find one locally at Lowes, ordered this. It's pretty fast, does fling dirt in all directions. You can make a pretty wide hole pretty quick. If I have to replace this one, I'll get one that is longer...

It's a nicly made bit well constructed with a nice glossy black powder coat finish. It chews through the ground like you can't believe. Just make sure you have a powerful drill if you get the 4". I even have a good amount of quarter-size rock and roots in a few spots where I was using it. It helps tremendously to cut through the roots if you sharpen the cutting edge with a grinder. Makes planting very easy. Very versatile I'd go as far as to say it's not just for planting use it to easily soften up the soil, or to help mix in fertilizer or any plant feed you have, or use it as a paint mixer or to even use it as a post hole digger to start and/or mark where you need the poles to be placed.

Small 1.6 inch auger works great with a regular cordless drill on a low speed. Good for crocus and small daffodils. The 3.5-inch size is a great idea, but not practical for a regular drill to run. You will need an actual drill with an adjustable collar not an impact driver or one that takes interchangeable drill bits. Go slowly so as not to burn out your drill and don't press too hard. Very high quality and hasn't rusted at all.

Works as it should. Makes creating nice holes in the ground very quick and easy.

Worked like a champ drilling soil for sod plugs. Paint held up after 50 drillings.

This thing's great for planting in your garden. It's super easy to use all you do is put it in your drill and make sure your drill is on low. It seems to be built really well and strong.

These items have made planting garden center vegetable starters so easy, or breaking up my raised gardens in the spring and fall before and after season.

I can't compare this to other products as I've never used anything like this before. It was great to receive 2 different sizes. I needed to dig a hole for an in ground gate latch. I was really trying to keep my expectations in check, my drill is cheap, I have all sorts of hand and back problems, I've never done anything like this before, I didn't know if there was cement or giant rocks down there... this tool made it so easy! I poured water over the area to soften the soil then used the small one first and then the big one and I was able to make a decent size 22cm-ish deep hole in less than 20 minutes with minimal struggles, fill it with cement and a pole, and emasculate every man I've ever met. All in a days work. 10/10.

🥵After struggling all day to remove a very old bush root ball, I ordered one of these via next day delivery. 🚚 Whereas before, I couldn’t get to the deep roots with my spade, iron bar or mattock, I used the large auger to dig down each side of a root allowing me to get my tree croppers in. 👍 Job completed in lest than an hour 😊 In terms of quality and sturdiness, I’d say I gave it a tough old test (inc encountering the odd stone 😬) hence 5 stars.
