I switched out my white nightlights for these red ones. There are many places that use red lights because red light does not interfere with your ability to see things the way white lights do. Red is also preferred over any other color because red light won't interfere with sleep. anyone that has dealt with bright blue lights on devices like vcrs can relate to that and how irritating it is.There are 3 brightness levels on these. They also use reflected light instead of direct light, which cuts down on light glare.I don't expect these to last forever, so plan on eventually replacing them.
