Arrived around 15 hours after I hit the purchase button. It's a bit heavier than I was expecting but it's one seriously solid unit. Aesthetically it looks beautiful and like a work of art. It came fairly sharp out of the box, I gave it the paper cut test and it went through paper like butter so didn't feel the need to sharpen it any. There is no give or play in the blade once its deployed, and the liner lock is firmly in place, it's not just like barely on the edge or anything it's almost centered on the knife blade so it will never be accidentally closing once deployed. I'm very happy with the purchase. I was expecting something a tiny bit smaller and more of an EDC but I'm glad how it came out in the end. This will be the one I use for more heavy duty things and not just opening letters or boxes.

So I made this purchase last year and the replacement/return period has ended about 4 months ago as of Aug 14, 2025. I contact the seller about the blade losing the detent ball to keep the blade shut/lock in place when it's in the close position. With no blaming and no excuses, they kindly asked for an address and sent me a replacement free of charge. I received quickly within two days. Remette sets an example of how customer service should still be in 2025. As for the knive, it's a slim and fits in my cargo pants pocket well. The weight doesn't sag my pocket as much as other brands. This blade is my goto box cutter when cutting through thicker corrugated cardboard. It's relatively sharp and has longer edge retention than some of my other EDC. The thickness and length of the blade can be used to leverage cutting and prying thicker cardboard that has been glued with industrial adhesive. I find flicking the blade open is smooth and quite satisfying.

This product is by far one of the most affordable, but also Amazingly made products for and EDC person such as myself, the knife comes perfectly sharp and is also a great material that the blade is made out of. It is greatly satisfying to open and close the blade and is comfortable in your hands. The only problems I have had with it is including in the industry I work in where I use it quite frequently, is that the tip will bend over time, but that is after quite a bit of abuse but the clip to hold it to your pants pocket Ben’s easily and will be quite tedious. The one I had bought that I am reviewing on was my favorite knife that I have bought, on a medium budget is my favorite knife, but I sadly lost it while working because the clip that hold it to my pants was too bent up that it got caught on something and was lost to the point where I cannot acquire it. To anyone who is on a low to medium budget for a good every day carry knife. This is a great product to buy but keep in mind the information that I have told you and that I hope I have explained correctly so if you make the decision to buy this product, you will understand the small defect you may face with this product but you will be able to and love to use when you need it!

Extremely nice knife, very sharp and easy to open!

One thing I needed was a great "gentleman's knife", I now have my perfect gentleman's blade! This REMETTE is smooth as silk and fires with snappy precision! This knife is heavy in the hand with SOLID construction, but carries light and comfortable due to its slim design! REMETTE must have known my favorite color coordinate as well because I love the brown scales with the matte gold finish! Beautiful! The quality of this knife FAR out weighs the cost. Tremendous value for sure. You will be amazed by the overall construction, functionality, and aesthetics of this gem! Very pleased. Thank you REMETTE!

I ordered the version with the damascus blade. I'm a simple man. I like simple, straightforward things. This knife is exactly what I need in an EDC and I'm very pleased with it. I love this knife. I didn't expect to like it as much as I do. It has a great feel. I particularly love the texture of the handle and how easily the knife opens and closes. It feels like a great quality for the cost. The damascus blade is also visually striking and stands out great against the black handle. I like that the handle isn't metal. It makes the knife lighter and it's more comfortable as it is. It feels very sturdy and firm. I spent about 20 minutes sharpening it and the tanto style blade makes it very easy and simple to sharpen. I'm sick of almost every knife having a blade that's part serated or has weird curves. Time will tell how well the blade and handles hold up, but I have a feeling it will do alright. If something major happens to the knife like it explodes or comes to life and steals my bank account I'll be sure to update the review, but for now I really do love this knife and I'm glad I got it. There's nothing exceptional about it, I just like it. And that's all I need.
