Great product. I have a gentle BM that keeps me regular naturally. I’m sure my liver is cleansed.

I had been taking 2/day for several mos. and didn’t feel too much of a difference so I upped my dosage to 3/day and Wow! What a difference in my energy levels and even my breathing! Love Gaia products and will continue taking Liver Health which also is recommended by the Medical Medium. He even says usually the dosage listed for supplements may still not be quite enough. I feel he’s right. It’s enough to get the basics in your system but if you’re not feeling much differently try increasing the dosage another pill.

May be better if they add a few mg of black pepper, but still OK... Curcumin(one of components in turmeric), milk thistle silymarin. These two components are actually ingredients for Protandim which mainly aims for Nrf2 pathway activation although their significance on human body is still unknown. Indeed, both of above components are mTOR inhibitors. (mTOR is the protein in human, which regulate cellular growth, cellular signalling, and many things). And, mTOR is activated, for example, when leucine (dietary protein that you can find in animal, soybeans and dairy products etc..,) is in excess state. (There are some other proteins that do this job, but typically leucine is strong activator of mTOR). In some senses, people activate mTOR for some purposes(such as muscle synthesis and growth, which I don't agree that much). On the other side, inhibition of mTOR may be associated with cancer inhibition, cellular signalling, or enhanced hormetic responses.. etc... So, activation/ inhibition of mTOR is different in context. Though, if some person is doing calorie restriction or intermittent fasting, it may be OK to try this product when you are in non-fasted state for inhibiting them. Note: Inhibition and activation of mTOR with supplement form is still unclear of their significance, so above review is mainly based on vitro studies.

I originally purchased this product at the suggestion that liver problems can be the cause of toenail fungus. When I was a kid, a piece of metal cut my big toenail in half and ever since than I have dealt with fungus on that nail. I haven't wanted to take some of the conventional medicines available because they are strong and can damage your liver so I decided to take this for a month and see what happens. Mountain Rose Herbs recommended Gaia Herbs for their strength and purity and so I thought I would give it a shot. My foot doctor was impressed at the clear new toenail growth coming in after a month of treatment with this supplement! Anyway, I am happy and sticking with this product, while watching my toenail fungus disappear!

This single supplement did more for me in liver healing and detoxification than five acupuncture sessions. Thats saying A LOT. I've lived a pretty clean life, but got a weird intractable liver issue that was affecting my eyes from tainted food. Chinese medicine was my first go to- and helped a little. This was my second go to, and about five days in (with additional immune system support and epsom salt baths) my symptoms had cleared by about 80%. Wow. My AST/Alt dropped dramatically. My AST was 38 and ALT was 31 when I started taking this supplement. It dropped 10 points. You have to be proactive otherwise you’ll wind up with irreversible liver cirrhosis. My twin died at 52 and now my cousin is dying as we speak. Cirrhosis is a horrible way of dying. Just be proactive.
