Love this portable air compressor pump....!!
How can one love a portable air compressor pump?? Well, with this little baby from Helteko, it's possible. Received my new ordered Helteko Digital Air Compressor (ATJ-1166S) from Amazon approx. 4 or 5 days after I placed my order. Immediately got an opportunity to use the air pump on all 4 of my car tires topping up the pressure from 32.5 to 35psi. The pump worked flawlessly which made me a very happy camper. Here is my impression after my first use: Pro #1 - The pump comes with an easy-fastening chuck (piece on the end of the air hose that attaches to the tire valve) that has a lever that clamps down to tighten the connection between the air hose and the tire valve and can be removed at the end of inflation without much air escaping from the tire. The other common type of chuck that I've seen on other air compressor pumps is a screw-on which, to me in theory, is not easy to connect and disconnect without having much air leak from the valve. Pro #2 - This air compressor has an auto shutoff feature that turns the pump off when the pumps digital guage display has reached the desired air pressure that you presumably have chosen before pressing the on button. However, the pump does, by design, inflate an extra .5psi to 1.0psi in order to compensate for any air that might be lost while removing the air hose from the valve. But, as mentioned, because of the more efficient and easy-to-use chuck, the amount of air escaping upon removal is usually minimal. In this case, I just intentionally remove what ends up being a slight amount of air manually and refasten the air hose to get another psi reading that is perfect with the initially desired psi that was entered. TIP: make sure the air hose is free of all kinks and bends before fastening to the valve, as I've noticed at times that this might affect the accuracy of the gauge reading. Pro #3 - One of the reasons I bought the Helteko air compressor pump was because it does come with a nice nylon carrying case that I store in my SUV's cargo area. Very convenient and does not take up too much space. Pro #4 - After my first or second use I proceeded to pack the device into the supplied carrying case, began to zip it closed when the zipper head broke off and separated from the adjoining track. Needless to say I was very surprised and somewhat disappointed at the time. Another reason I purchased the Helteko pump was because I had read a good number of Amazon customer reviews that were very positive and impressed with the Helteko customer service when it came to standing behind their product. I immediately emailed the Helteko customer support team and Steven (customer care manager) responded to my request for a new case within 2 hours after having sent my email. Long story short, I received my replacement carrying case in the mail 10 days latter, given an understandable delay in delivery due to the end of year holidays. Nonetheless, I thought this was outstanding customer service - the way I believe ALL and ANY customer service should be regardless of the product or service !! Bottom Line: You can not go wrong buying this portable air compressor pump. Like me, I believe you will love it !!

Great product
I got this air compressor because my tire on my car has a slow leak. I love this device! I can set a custom PSI and the compressor will fill my tire in minutes! Quick and convenient to do at home or anywhere. Small, compact, won’t take much room in your trunk. LED light on front makes it easy to see the valve stem if it’s dark. Air hose has a lever that locks on to your valve stem which prevents air loss as you’re inflating your tire. My tire stayed inflated to the proper level for about a week. Works much better than most gas station air pumps, which can be difficult and costly. Digital readout will tell you exactly how much air is in your tire, and will shut off automatically when the desired pressure is reached. This air compressor is well worth the price, and will pay for itself when you don’t have to spend gas, time, and money when you have to find a gas station with an air compressor which may or may not work properly. The air with this device is free!!

2nd one and glad of purchase
Several years ago, I purchase the yellow version on this. It worked great. I used it on my suv, lawn mower, mom's car, etc. It worked great. Eventually the air hose has worn and had a small leak. It still worked, but took longer. So I came back to purchase a new one. We have already used it on the Grand Cherokee and Honda Civic. It works just like the old one. The pump has an auto shutoff when it get to .5 lbs over the entered tire pressure. The ony trick is when you move to the next tire, remember to switch the power off and back onto start the next tire. The auto shutoff stays engaged until you do this. This pump is not as fast as the gas station air, but it is fast enough. My mom's Kia tire was completely flat, rim on the ground flat, and in a couple of minutes the tire was fully inflated and I drove it to the tire repair shop. This device is small enough to store in the car. The only reason it didn't get all fives is because I think it could be better if it had an AC adapter so when I need it for the lawn mower or bike, I would not need to crank up my car to use it.

This thing works fast!
This is one of the smartest purchases I have ever made. I have a tire that loses air pressure and requires air about every 4-6 weeks. I guess my motivation for the purchase isn't much of a mystery then, is it? Anyway, I finally got an opportunity to use it a couple of weeks ago, and everything about it exceeded my expectations. To begin, the air pump is much smaller than I expected. I've borrowed portable compressors from friends before; they've always been made out of plastic, and were larger... not huge, but about the size of a large shoebox. This is much smaller. The cord length is REALLY long, lol. When I plugged this into my lighter socket and unwound the cord to the back tire of my hatchback (it's shaped like a small station wagon, so a longer wheel base front-to-back), I had PLENTY of line left over. The valve forms a nice tight seal over the tire valve. I read that some people had a little trouble getting the valve on the first time they used their air compressors, but I had no such issue. I was able to snap it on, there was no sound of air escaping once it was in place. The air compressor does make some noise, but it's not horrible. All portable air compressors make noise, I've never found any to be super loud, and this is no exception. I was able to figure out how to use the compressor in about 15 seconds. The instructions are short and sweet, but the control panel is pretty intuitively designed and labeled as well. It won't take a degree in physics to figure it out. Where this thing really shines is in regards to how quickly it pumps up a low tire. I was actually shocked, and initially did not believe that my tire had been aired up so quickly. When I've borrowed portable air pumps from friends, it took a long time to pump up the tire. I distinctly recall the last time, I had to add 10-15 psi to my tire, it took over 10. With this portable pump, I added 14 psi to my tire in less than two minutes. It took me longer to unpack this and install the valve over my tire valve, than it took to air up my tire. Anyway, I had to grab my tire pressure gauge to confirm for myself that my tire was actually properly aired. This is a great little air pump, and a very smart investment.

Works great. Easy to use. Has proved to be trouble free & reliable.
I bought this for my son when in May 2018 when he got his first real car (Honda Civic EX). I have used it a few times now. It works great and you don't have to be very mechanically inclined to use it. 1) Find the maximum PSI rating (Pounds Per Square Inch) rating of your tire by reading it off the sidewall of your tire. 2) Unfurl the two cords from the recessed storage place at the top back of the unit. 3) Attach the power cord and plug it into your lighter. 4) Unfurl the air cord and attach it to the tire valve stem. 5) Tap the "plus" + or "minus" - buttons on the bottom front of unit until the display shows a number matching the PSI pressure recommended for your tire. 6) Push the power button and wait. Unless the tire is absolutely flat, it will usually take 2 - 4 minutes to inflate a regular passenger car tire to standard. SUMMER WEATHER NOTE: Opinions may vary but if I lived in a place with beastly hot weather, I would, during the summer, underinflate a few pounds below the tire manufacturer's stated maximum tire pressure (PSI). Don't take my word for it though, when in doubt, consult your auto shop or tire shop for their opinion. They give you a spare fuse and also some other specialized nozzle pieces you can attach to the end of the air cord for use in inflating say air rafts. You could certainly use this to inflate a football or basketball or exercise ball - it has enough oomph. Conclusion: For consumer passenger car use: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I've owned this 18 months and find that it has been a good, easy to use, reliable product.

Works Well, Fill Tires Quickly, Easy to Use
I just received this tire pump and tried it out, so I can't comment on it's longevity. However, right out of the box it worked very well, adding 4 PSI in less than a minute to the tire I tested it on. It's very simple to use, has a reasonably long power cord and an air hose that's well made and long enough to reach any point on the tire. The metal part that attaches to the tire seems well made and snaps on so you don't have to hold it in place while the tire inflates. The pump shuts off automatically about .5 PSI above the setting you've specified on the digital readout, which seems reasonable as some are always escapes when you disconnect the pump from the tire. I compared the pressure shown on the pump to that on my Accu-Gage and it was within .5 PSI. The unit is small and fits easily in the wheel-well of my car's trunk. It comes with a zippered nylon bag for storage. Note that this pump works ONLY with your 12-volt outlet (hole for the car's cigarette lighter); is does not work with a 120-volt outlet, and indeed doesn't have a cord for that.

Good product...Excellent Customer Service
Bought this Feb 2018 because I'm too cheap paying a couple bucks at the gas stations to fill air which all seem to charge now; used to be $free.99 dang it! It does take a couple of minutes to fill a tire maybe 10 pounds more but that's what it's advertised so fine with me. It does the job and more importantly, I don't have to drive a the gas station to fill when I got a low pressure sign. After two years of occasional use (maybe 6 -8 times a year), the hose near the clamp got a small hole in it and of course could no longer inflate my tire. I emailed the seller through Amazon and asked if they could recommend a replacement hose for me to purchase. Again, I just wanted to replace the hose with the "puka" (aka hole) in it. To my surprise, the seller responded within a day or two apologizing for the problem and said they would REPLACE it free of charge and only asked that I send them pictures of the hose. Well COVID-19 hit and I got preoccupied with other things and couldn't take my pictures as requested. After a couple of weeks, I got around to it, emailed 3 pictures to the seller with a brief explanation and they responded (again promptly) that my new air compressor is on the way. Got it about a week later and must say their customer service is AURITE! (awesome for you non-Hawaii peeps). Haven't got a chance to try the replacement but I'm confident it will work fine. Great Seller!!! Oh yeah, since we're still in lockdown in Hawaii, remember to Aloha Later.

Plug & Quality Control Sucks - but may be worth it if you can solder
TL:DR at bottom The first time I ordered this the unit didn't work at all and I had to return it. But to a degree this was expected, I had already read some reviews saying it's somewhat common for them to be dead on arrival as well as potentially not lasting long, but it was the cheapest at the time so I took a chance. Second unit arrived and worked well enough. So in my trunk it went for about year, and in that time it came to the rescue twice and worked well enough then too. Just over a year after I got it, it refused to turn on. Given that it saved me getting towed twice, I would say it actually payed for itself. However, that is still a far cry from acceptable considering how little use it has gotten. So, being the curious tech guy I am, I opened her up to see what ails her. Lo and behold, the plug solder connections came pre-rusted and pre-corroded straight from el-factoria! (or so I am assuming considering nether of the times I used it was water/rain involved and it spent the rest of it's days wrapped up in a dry area) Now I am not one to cry "planned obsolescence" when incompetence is just as likely, but I also can't rule it out since it was stored properly, used very little, and has numerous reviews complaining about units being dead on arrival. This is compounded by the fact that the rest of the plug, wire, and main board was in pristine condition on my unit. But again, there's no smoking gun, and this could all just be bad luck. The good news is while the plug looks like it was done by the apprentices' one-armed cousin while he was blindfolded, the main body seems fairly-well built. After I saw that, I thought it might actually be worth the repair, then went ahead and cleaned & re-soldered the plug and she works just fine now. So, If you happen to have solder tools and a screw driver, it may be worth your time to pry open the plug and make sure it doesn't have the green death. If you don't have the tools, you may want to pass on this product. 5 stars for the main part being actually decently well built and saving me 2 tows, but -2 stars for making me solder. TL;DR - If you like soldering it might be worth it, otherwise I would pass.

Compact, easy to store, easy to use, works very well!
Here are my comments about my October 2019 purchase of the Helteko Air Compressor Model ATJ-1166S DC 12 V. When a small light box came from Canada Post I wondered whether it was my air compressor. When I opened the box I was happy to find a heavy duty, zippered case that housed the compact red air compressor. I used it immediately to recheck and top up my tires. The enclosed simple instructions served the purpose well and very soon I was putting the target air pressure values from the door frame of our van into the Helteko inflator. I had read other reviews of “high tire air pressure” after using the Helteko so I made sure I checked my tires twice with two different air pressure gauges. My tires were fine and I was very satisfied with how easy the whole process was. The long 12v cord made it easy to do both front and rear tires on the same side of the car without having to unplug the cord and the LCD display is easy to read. Also, there is a small bag of attachments that came in the inflator bag that you can use to fill a bike, soccer ball, air mattress, & two spare fuses which I found to be a very useful addition. Although, I check my tires regularly during daylight hours, I appreciate having the bright LED light built in on the end of the compressor, which will be handy in case I need to help out someone else at night. Another really significant attribute is that the inflator hose is able to be stored inside the cavity of the compressor. The Helteko air compressor Model ATJ-1166S is well constructed and very well thought out. The fact that it is compact and lightweight makes it easy to take with you and keep it in the car at all times. Robert Leni

Accurate and easy-to-use, Fantastic product
It is fantastic and very easy to use. The tire pressures were accurate with my previous equipment but this one was great help in this case and all my tyre pressure are accurately where I want them to be. The digital display and the torch are also a plus. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for such product
