Then if you try to hold it together with your fingers inside your mouth and use it and it still pops open, then the brush twists until the wire end is poking your gums. I've been using these for many, many years and the first one that did this I thought was a fluke, but bought another one and it does the same thing. So, I've paid for two handles that won't lock and a whole pack of brushes that were rendered useless by the handle. GUM has a monopoly on these, but I will scotch tape it down for every use, although I don't want to, before I'll buy another one.
