I have recently purchased this chain & lock and as soon as i took it out of the box i felt as if i got the right one. It is heavy, solid & easy to lock, unlock. The chain looks treated and Stands out as a serious deterrent. The key has a nice bright blue light that helps in unlit areas at night. Now i thought about maybe giving 3-4 stars but i concluded that the lock itself imo is definitely worth 5 stars so i have given 5 stars. The reason why I considered 3-5 stars is because I ordered this item from koo bikes and it took so long to arrive i contemplated sending it back. It had passed the cut off delivery date. Totally unacceptable. I was very annoyed. So my advice is if you want a solid chain and lock to keep your bike safe, I recommend this one. As for ordering it from koo bikes, fahgettaboudit.

This is a heavy duty lock recommended. It is so heavy, I leave it on my home rack and take a smaller one when I go out. I feel confident my bike is safe with it.

You are in a forest, you're walking with some random people, and a bear runs at you out of nowhere. You can't outrun it. You don't need to outrun the bear, just the next slowest person. You will never get a lock that is 100% protection, but if it makes the thief pick another bike with a less serious lock then it did it's job. This chain is the canine's cojones. The lock, not as much. In fact, I would consider it the weakpoint, if there was one. Not much of one though cause together they are a beast of a security system, but if someone has a grinder then they're going for the lock itself. Note: combined, the are heavy. Like properly "change the bike's dynamics if you have it wrapped round the seat-post" heavy. If you have an electric bike like me, then that is not a problem 😁 The added Anti-theft offer from Kryptonite is a nice thought that makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside..... Don't know if I'll need it, or whether it'll pay out, but I registered and paid £20-odd for five years of it anyway. You never know 😶

Very heavy and well made. Good cover for chain to prevent chipping your paintwork. 3 keys provided but only 1 with a light. I would have preferred the padlock to be attached to one end, not detachable, but there may be a good reason for this for some. Expensive, but cheaper than a new motorbike!

Solid chain ! Compared to the M-18 U-Lock I bought from the same brand, I can feel how much heavier this one is and feels. So this is both a good and a bad thing. In terms of security, I have to admit that this is the most secure you can feel when locking your bike. This chain makes bold-cutters completely useless and makes it clear that if you want to break it you'll have to bring some serious tools and have a bit of time ahead of you, which is clearly the message you want to send to potential thieves. On the other hand, it's indeed very heavy (around 5kg), and if it doesn't fit on your bike, it will add up a fair amount of weight to your backpack. If you don't have a backpack, I am not even sure you could carry it. I personally carry a few times a week with my laptop and other things, it's doable but definitely not the best. In terms of length, I would say it is the very close to the minimum required to lock your bike without any issue. As in, it is long enough to roll it around a regular/thin pole + your bike, but you definitely won't have much more extra length to suit too complex positions. So, overall, it's a very solid product which makes you feel safe, but you should definitely consider it to be a non-mobile option, as its weight makes it more adapted to staying at a single place.

Great product. Heavy, reliable. Likely very difficult for a thief to get through. Note, too heavy to bring on a cycle with you. But good to say, leave one at work or in a bike shed. Pricey though.

Truly a perfect chain and lock combo. I would say this is the most reasonable chain size you can carry with you for motorcycles to lock up somewhere, but that's not to say it doesn't make a viable permanent ground anchor for your home or work, it's a true tank. If someone has the tools and power to cut through this lock or chain, 99.99% chance they're going to have the power and tools to cut through any other huge chain irregardless of it's size at this point. My only gripe is the lock, the evolution series 4 really does struggle to unlock and can be frustrating at times. That's not to say it's unreliable, it's just time consuming.

I love this lock! It works great, very sturdy and strong. Locks easily, it is long enough to wrap around any pole to lock up bike. Fairly heavy so not too easy to use or travel with. But that’s the point, it is strong and sturdy! Keeps bike safe

Das Schloss und die Kette sind in einer Dimension, die vor allen Bolzenschneidern die mobil zum Einsatz kommen können sicher macht. Das Schloss ist sehr leichtgängig und liegt tief im Schlüsselloch was Aufbruchsversuche für diebe erschwert. Die Kettenglieder sind so dick, dass sie kaum durch die Fahrradspeichen passen, was einen guten Eindruck von der Wuchtigkeit des Schlosses vermittelt, die Textilhülle schützt dabei gut vor Kratzern. verwende das Schloss selbst seit 2 Jahren mobil, und habe bisher keinerlei Probleme damit gehabt. mögliche Kritikpunkte für Käufer könnten (wie in der Produktbeschreibung angegeben) jedoch das hohe Gewicht und die damit einherkommende schwiereige Handhabung und geräuschvolle Anbringung sein. ebenso klimpert das schloss oft leicht während des Fahrens und errinnert so an seine Anwesenheit. Nach 2 Jahren hat die Textilhülle einige Buchstaben eingebüßt und die Kette hat ihren Glanz an den freiliegenden Stellen verloren. Das schloss läuft dank entsprechender Pflege jedoch nach wie vor sehr leicht und zuverlässig. Außerdem noch ein Lob an den Kundensupport, er ist bei diesem Hersteler wirklich ausgezeichnet.
