Review: Reizen Proj Knive with Slicing Guide - Great knife for anyone who bakes their own bread. Blade is sharp and the guide is adjustable. I love mine. Review: China made junk - This knife is obvious Chinese made, cheap, not worth even a dollar, junk. It's a poorly made knockoff of the "AS SEEN ON TV" Deli-Pro Slicing Knife which is also sold here for ironically right around the same price. The blade is dull and cheap looking and not shiny like the Deli-Pro. It says "STAINLESS STEEL" on the blade but I doubt it's even steel. You won't need to worry about stains on the blade anyway since it's so dull. Get the original Deli-Pro Slicing Knife if you really want a knife like this.

Not quite useful
Bought it for 75 cents like many people here. Came in a cheap packaging like a 75 cent knife. The slicing guide is not that accurate to work with, and it's for specific use, like cutting cheese. It's not quite useful to me, but for 75 cents, I'll take it in case I have the need.

Cheap Blade Guide
My knife work is not chef quality; with this type of knife I don't have to wait and work years to gain those skills. I've used other better quality serrated knives with guides, they're excellent for repetitive or very fine slicing of meats and vegetables. This one, not so much. The guide is stamped, not forged or cast, and the guide adjustment set screw is threaded into plastic, so I don't have much hope for it lasting long. Because of those to factors, when set to slice very thin, the guide and blade are not parallel, resulting in slightly wedge shaped slices. Of course, the knife I would buy instead is $85: Amazon.com: Victorinox Cutlery Precise Slice Knife, Right Hand: [...] ...

Decent alternative to bulky bread slicing guides for regular size loaves
I bought this to slice bread so I wish it was about an inch longer to work better with artisan loaves. However, the guide eliminates the need to store a bulky loaf slicing guide in my already crowded kitchen cabinets so with some finesse I can make it work. It fits well on my magnetic knife rack even with the guide attached. I like that the guide is removable. This makes it functional for other purposes and easy to clean as well. Also be aware that the guide is taller than the knife (which it has to be to work properly) meaning you have to angle the blade and pull it through the food to completely slice through it at the bottom. I can finesse that also. Knife is a good weight and very well built. This is a good purchase.
