We got this for our 8-month old's first Halloween, to go with his Up-themed nursery. He weighs 21lbs and is about 30 inches long (Carter's 9-month clothes are really tight or don't fit him). We got him the 12-18 month size and it ended up fitting really well, so I recommend sizing up. The fabric is soft and fuzzy, like a velvet or cheap velour, but he didn't mind it. There are snaps at the bottom which made diaper changing easy. Our dude has a 99th percentile head (aka huge) and the hat was stretchy enough to fit him, but he wasn't a fan so we took it off after photos. All in all, this was a great purchase and we'd recommend it.

Ordered 6-9 month for my 3 month old that weighs 16 pounds and we’re 3-6 month clothes. DOES NOT EVEN REMOTELY FIT. SHOULDER AREA HAS NO STRETCH. I ordered this and paid extra for the next day, said it would be here by Friday. They did not ship until that day and it took until Monday to get, after the festivities we needed it for and not enough time to order another. Not happy at all with purchase or sizing…
