Nail HQ 100% Acetone Nail Polish Remover - 150ml - Express & Easy

I needed some acetone to remove my gel nail polish in between appointments. I compared various products on Amazon which all stated 100% acetone but decided to go for this product which was on the cheaper side but assumed if they are all 100% acetone they should do the same job! I quickly filed the clear layer of polish off and then used a nail tray to pour the acetone in before soaking my nails in there for 15-20 minutes. This acetone worked perfectly and I was able to scrape the gel polish off neatly and without damaging my nails and my nails have stayed undamaged since using the product. I also didn’t notice my fingers being dry afterwards but I did use a cuticle oil after which may be why. Overall a good product that does what I needed it to do for a cheap price!

Good product, does as it should. It’s a little expensive for what it does compared to other brands available in cheap stores. It works well though so I’m pleased with it and don’t regret buying it. Would I buy it again, probably not

I carefully selected this product based on the reviews, specifically looking for reviews about removing acrylic nails with it, as my daughter's school insisted she remove her acrylic nails after Christmas - easier said than done! I didn't want to pay for them to be removed in a salon, so we thought we'd try this. Lots of reviews spoke of success, but unfortunately we had little. We eventually managed after soaking for 20 minutes in a little bowl of acetone to get the varnish off the nails, mainly I think due to using a metal nail file. The glue or something white and gunky came out from under the nails, but the acrylics clung on for dear life, and are still, four days later, still on except for one which fell off yesterday. So in summary, if you are looking for a normal nail polish remover, this is great, but if you're trying to prise off your acrylic nails, I would try something else.
