Just the Ninja name from the past conjures infomercials that I am skeptical about...just like the Made for TV stores in the malls. But I have since purchase a couple of other Ninja products that work well and are some of the most innovative and well made products out there. This knife set is no different. It takes the sharpening guesswork out and packages it all into a nice product that fits well onto a counter. The knives were delivered sharp. And after a couple of weeks of using them, stuck them into the sharpener and cycled it 10 times, as directed. After a few months of use, the knives remain sharp and can easily slice through soft tomatoes with ease. Highly recommended.

I don’t think I am made to use sharp knives because these are SHARP. I have cut myself a couple times. That is not a bad thing though. I just need to learn how to use the knives properly. The block is very sturdy. It balances on it’s own very well. The block has little grabbers in the bottom of the base so it makes it extra sturdy. I remember buying these white because I didn’t see a black color available, but if there was black, I would go for that since these white ones stain very easily that’s not good because I’m always cutting different colored food that stains (think beets, carrots, etc) and so the white on the handle gets stained pretty quickly and it’s a hassle to have to keep it clean with different cleaning supplies, yeah maybe just splashing some water on the knife after use, but it has happened that I have to put the knife down for a while and by then it has stained. I really like the sharpening tool. It works very very well. It’s super easy. I don’t have to guess when to stop, just push the lever up and down 10 times and I have freshly sharpened knives, so that feature is super convenient and mainly the reason why I bought these knives. This set comes with a total of five knives and the heavy duty kitchen shears. One of the knives in this set is a serrated knife, which is typically used for bread, but I don’t really care for that when I don’t use it much and can’t use it on the sharpener, so if there’s anything I would change about this is that I wish that’s the serrated knife was a long carving type of knife. We’ve had them for about six months and they are working well still, I’ve only had to sharpen them a couple of times. And one of those was to learn how to use the sharpener. These were very worth the purchase. It was a good investment

I am particularly obsessed with this brand, I love it...but I bought these knives because of the easy way they can be sharpened because something that is very difficult for me to do and never fits me well, I always have to ask my husband for help to sharpen the knives at home...I had bought several sharpeners and I didn't like any of them and it was very difficult for me...since I bought them I am happy because I can do it whenever I need...they look very nice in the kitchen, they have a very good size and quality...now I feel more independent lol

This knife set is fantastic! It is beautiful. It looks and is so clean. It matches my kitchen. The knives are so sharp. The built in sharpener is wonderful. It works perfectly. I use it frequently, as the manual instructs, for the sharpest knives. These knives work effortlessly. Preparation time is shortened and is a pleasure to perform.

The knives are sharp. I haven’t used it yet, but so far from what I’m seeing I’m greatly satisfied.. if anything happens in between I will definitely get back to you and let you know. But this time around I got my value in my item.

The knives in this set are very sharp and feel high quality across the board. The built in sharpener is a great feature—it might not perfectly sharpen every knife in the set, but it definitely improves them and keeps them cutting well with minimal effort. The white color looks great on the counter but can attract stains if you’re doing messy prep work, so it takes a little extra cleaning to keep them looking fresh.
