Review: Quietest on the market - I install garburators for customers all the time, the home owner had an old version of the insinkerator that lasted for about 10 years, pretty good considering how much crap goes down them, so I went with the upgraded version and it is perfect. It bolted right on to the old hardware, even though it came with new stuff. I bought the lug in adaptor kit extra to go to plug style since he had a gfi under the sink already. Easy wiring. Then only difference in the mounting of the unit was the drain office was about 1 inch shorter then the original one and the drain pipe was to short to be able to use the old drain, so I just had to cut it and add an extension on the abs. No big deal. Definitely the quietest model I have heard on the market today for that amount of hp. Just remember to keep the rubber dampening gaurd on to eliminate the noise coming back up from the unit.
