I recently installed the Samsung 990 PRO Heatsink NVMe M.2 SSD (2TB) in my PS5, and it has completely transformed my gaming experience. Installation was straightforward thanks to the included heatsink, and it fits perfectly in the PS5 expansion slot without any clearance issues. Performance-wise, this SSD is a beast. With read speeds up to 7,450 MB/s and write speeds up to 6,900 MB/s, load times for games are practically instantaneous, and everything from open-world titles to massive updates feels seamless. Even with extended gaming sessions, the heatsink does an excellent job keeping temperatures in check, so there’s no thermal throttling to worry about. The added RGB is a nice touch if you have a custom PC setup, though it’s not visible inside the PS5. Storage-wise, 2TB gives me plenty of room for my library of AAA titles and video editing projects without constantly juggling space.
