A small bird feeder with good quality.

Very cute bird feeder but definitely not squirrel proof. The squirrels in our backyard took it apart in 1 day & continue to do so no matter where we place it.

I had a flat platform bird feeder on the pole originally and it got rather disgusting after it rained. I’d end up throwing out perfectly good bird food because some of the seeds would start sprouting. So I needed something with a roof to protect seed from the rain. I wanted a large wooden birdhouse but couldn’t find any. Saw this one and decided to try hooking them back to back on mount in the pole. Despite there being a small gap between them, they’re pretty solid on the pole. I’m excited to watch the birds from my office window!

This feeder is very flimsy.Wood is very thin and does not weather well. The roof has no attachement to keep it closed and since it is hinger at the lower edge of the slant, it flies open at the least wind exposing the seeds to to the elements. The design is great if only more thought had been put into it. If the back plate extended beyond the roof line, hinges could have been used to secure the roof at the top part and kept it closed. And a 3/4" wood like Audubon feeders use.

They were hard to mount

These small feeders are well made, they don't attract birds like the hanging ones do, or the pedestal mounted. Squirrels like them, takes no time to clean them out of seed. I have found, in my case, the swinging feeders from a tree limb work best.
