RoudyBush Daily Maintenance Bird Food, Medium, 25-Pound

Some of my birds love Roudybush and I like it because it doesn’t have added dyes.

This is always fresh, and my birdbrains eat more of this than other pellets. What they discard, I throw to the feral chickens who are not so picky, and they think Manna fell from the heavens

I've been feeding my parrots Roudybush formulated food to my birds since 1988 and all have been in excellent health. It's 95% of their daily diet with occasional treats given. When my long-term online supplier announced that they'd be shutting down their store last winter I started to panic! It was a company that always delivered on time and with decent prices. Never once in over ten years did an order get lost or was incorrectly filled. Amazon wasn't on my mind as a possible supply source so I was pleasantly surprised when a search showed me exactly what i needed/wanted. This stuff may not be the most appetizing but for a pet bird that doesn't require high levels of caloric intake to maintain a health weight this is the formula that's recommended and it simply works.

My African grey has been eating Roudybush medium for 23 years and loves it. My conure eats Roudybush small. I like Roudybush because it has no peanut meal in it. I've ordered a few times from Amazon with no problem, but a third to half of the pellets in my last two orders, one 10-pound bag medium and one 25-pound bag medium, were absolutely pulverized. Most of the rest of the pellets are shattered and broken. We refer to them as shrapnel. I can only think that the bags had been dropped off a plane or used as punching bags in a CrossFit gym. My birds hold the pellets in their feet to eat them, so even the unpulverized pellets were useless because they were chipped and broken and no longer large enough to hold. I used to buy pellets from smaller vendors but bought from Amazon because the smaller vendors were out. I'm going to try those vendors again and hope they're restocked because their inventory isn't damaged. I didn't try to return the bags to Amazon because I have a disability and it's difficult for me to haul the bags around. I've been straining the pellets with a colander and trying to save the few that are still full-sized. Very disappointed with the condition of the pellets, but my birds still like the flavor of the ones they're able to eat.

For the first time ever. Bag arrived open and food spilled out. It had a rodent hole in the bag. Unfortunately I had to trash part of the food. Not happy
