can you use a non air gap faucet on a air gap system? And how do you tell what type of system you have?

You need to look under the water faucet, and if it has a hose that runs to the drain pipe you have air gap system. To run a non air gap faucet you need to add a check valve on the drain line that goes from the filtration system to the sink drain pipe. I actually running my system this way

There are no cartridges sold with this product. Depending on the r/o unit you are installing there are any number of filtration cartridges available. It all depends on the system you are installing.
