Sperzel's rear thumbscrew locks the string, making these machines ideal for tremolo guitars.Details:For 6-in-line pegheads.Cast gear housings with sealed lubrication.Single pin mount keeps tuner from rotating, no mounting screws needed. The string posts on 6-in-line sets have graduated height (no string trees needed).Recommended for 9/16" - 11/16" (14.29mm - 17.46mm) thick pegheads.Specs:12:1 gear ratio10mm (13/32") diameter pegholes requiredRemovable metal knobsThreaded peghead bushings and washers (6 each) includedSet of 6: 6-in-lineSatin chrome finishStaggered string posts: The Sperzel 6-in-line tuners feature 3 heights of string posts in each set. The tallest two tuners are used on the E and A strings, the medium length posts are used on the D and G strings, and the shortest two posts are for the B and E strings. This allows the E, B, G, and D strings to have a steeper angle off the nut than with traditional tuners โ eliminating the need for string trees.

These are still the best tuners
Amazing product, hands down perfect.

The fastest way to get and keep your guitar in tune
I added these to a recent build that I made and I can only say "WOW!"It only took me 5 minutes to tune a floating tremolo with these bad boys on AND I didn't even lock the nut bolts. Totally worth it!

Good but not the smoothest
These are good quality and look great. But as far as smoothness they are not as smooth as Grover tuners.

Disappointing.
There's a ton of play in these tuners, and between that and the gearing the tuning stability of the guitar is sub-standard. I would expect this out of a cheap set of tuners, but not out of these. Very disappointed, especially considering their price. I'll be switching them out for a quality product.

Flawless function for 30 years. Wouldn't use anything else, ever

Tune it once and be done.
Great tuners stays in perfect tune even thru heavy tremolo use.
