Fun alarm to use as a gag!
Used this in a Christmas Eve present gift bag as a joke. When the recipient touches the bag, the alarm goes off. This is in keeping with a long-standing family joke--don't touch the gift until it is time! Definitely fun for kids!

Fun Little Gadget That Actually Works
The SpyX Micro Motion Alarm is surprisingly fun and does what it says—it’ll go off when someone gets close, which the kids think is hilarious. It’s a neat way for them to “protect” their stuff, and the sensitivity is decent for a small toy. The build quality isn’t amazing (pretty standard for SpyX toys), but it feels a bit sturdier than some of the others in the line. It’s still lightweight and plasticky, but at least the alarm is loud enough to get their attention, and it works consistently. Overall, it’s a fun, simple gadget that keeps kids entertained, even if it’s not the most premium feeling toy.

It Works!
Very impressive, it works, two modes button, one mode detects vibration and the other detects motion, kids were diginetely amused by it. Writing this review late as usual to also see if things last long enough. It is still working despite usual rough and tumble.

Ok toy
Grandkids played with it but soon got bored.

Doesn't work
This doesn't work as intended. It doesn't sense movement in the range it claims to but will go off when I open a door in the other end of the house. I wanted this to help keep the dog off the counter but it doesn't function well enough for that at all.

My kid loves this
Super annoying toys ,from a moms perspective.. noisy and repetitive..but the child is on cloud nine. Plays with them pretty regularly. Catches me off guard, makes him laugh.. why are little boys so cute and rotten?

Loud! But little spies love it.
Easy to operate, this alarm will let you know when the door is opened. If this is a gift, be judicious about the recipient; Will Mom & Dad hate you forever if you give it to your nephew?

Works Well, But VERY Loud.
My eight year old son is a really brilliant kid who asks for impossible things for his birthday. This year, he wanted a cage that fell from the ceiling that would trap his siblings if they touched his shelf... yeah, that wasn't going to happen. I wracked my brain trying to find something that was reasonable, and that he would like. I thought he would think a spy set was dumb, but I saw the set with these motion detectors, and realized that might be the perfect compromise. I bought the spy set, with the invisible ink, etc., and this. He set these up on his shelves and loves them! I will say, they are LOUD. And one night, he forgot to turn them off, and I kept hearing alarms and realized it was going off at random. It wasn't a big deal, he remembered to turn them off after that, but it's something to keep in mind.

WARNING - IT STAYS IN UNTIL TURNED OFF! The battery last for days and the kids set it up everywhere. Gets me all the time and they laugh and cheer. Fun toy for my little spy kids. Would recommend

I had something like this as a kid and loved it, now I bought this to try and keep my cat away from the front door which it was using as a bathroom. The toy works pretty well, but not that well when it's dark, and its ineffective at detering a cat.

Review after two months. Son likes it okay, the vibration doesn't work but motion does. He likes to catch his siblings.
