200 servings in the jar! Great value, works well for menopausal muscle gains
PROS: This has no flavor; I mix it up daily (1 scoop; 5 mg of creatine) in about 40 ounces of water with some Gatorade zero and it mixes up easily. Drink it down before I go to the gym (or if I'm not going, just sometime that day). This is very well priced; I did some comparison shopping and that is how I chose this one -- pure without a lot of other added junk, good reviews, well priced. It's a big container and a tiny scoop -- at 5 mg per day, there are 200 servings in this jar!!!!!! Over the last 3 weeks taking it daily and spending some time at the gym (4-5 days a week, just lifting weights or doing cardio or swimming), I'm up almost 2% in muscle mass (which is also helping me lose weight). I'm not trying to get jacked -- just healthier! and less fat!! and this is definitely helping. BACKGROUND: Why I started taking this: There is good evidence of the positive effects of creatine supplementation for aging folks -- as a menopausal woman, I know I'm losing muscle mass and definitely getting fatter and decided to add this to my routine. This is what I learned after some research: It's a naturally occurring compound found in meat, fish, and made in the body, stored mainly in muscles where it supports short bursts of energy. The most studied form is creatine monohydrate (like this Phosphagen supplement). In women over 40, especially postmenopausal women, there's good evidence showing that creatine supplementation combined with resistance training can help slow or reverse muscle loss (sarcopenia), improve strength, and support lean muscle gains. It doesn't directly cause fat loss, but by increasing muscle mass and improving workout performance, it may enhance body composition and metabolic rate. An initial small weight gain (1–3 lbs) is common due to water retention in muscles. Creatine may also offer cognitive benefits by supporting brain energy metabolism and may modestly enhance bone density when paired with resistance training. No evidence it harms kidneys or liver in healthy people. It is safe and well-tolerated in healthy adults, with a typical maintenance dose of 3–5g per day. (You can also do a loading dose of 20 mg/day (5 mg a dose, 4 times a day) for about 5 days when you first start taking it, as they do in some clinical trials -- I did not do a loading dose myself). CONS: My weight loss did slow at first after I started this supplement, which is exactly what you'd expect if you're building muscle mass (muscle weighs more than fat). It does cause water to move into your muscle cells and so it's probably advisable to drink a little more/hydrate well to avoid constipation/dehydration all that. In summary-- creatine is well studied, safe, and can be really helpful for menopausal women when combined with exercise! The research shows it, and my own experience has been consistent with it. I'm very happy with this.

This stuff time tested works !!! Hands down!!!
I've been using this Myoplex line of products since the 1990's. After it was sold to Ross Labs it seemed the end of these products. Out of every creatine or protein I've used this one works the best. I mix this creatine in the protein packet and drink at least 2 per day. If you want to get naturally strong/bulky this is the best stuff hands down. I'm super happy they've brought the product line back!!!
