Gourmet Easy 3lbs Cast Iron BBQ Grill Press with Heat Resistant Handle

I recently added this cast iron burger press to my grilling toolkit, and it’s been a fantastic addition. The 2-pound weight provides just the right amount of pressure to create those crispy, caramelized edges on smash burgers without overdoing it. The heat-resistant silicone handle stays cool to the touch, making it easy to maneuver even on a hot griddle. Beyond burgers, I’ve used it to press bacon and sandwiches, achieving evenly cooked results every time. The cast iron construction retains heat well, contributing to consistent cooking. Cleaning is straightforward—just a quick rinse and dry, though I make sure to season it lightly to maintain its condition. One minor drawback is its size; while it’s perfect for individual patties, it might be a bit small if you’re cooking multiple items simultaneously. Also, being cast iron, it’s heavier than some other presses, which might not suit everyone’s preference. Overall, this burger press delivers on its promises. It’s durable, effective, and a must-have for anyone serious about their grilling.

Great product! Perfect weight for putting a nice, even sear on steaks. Really like the handle. Wash, dry, and oil. Easy if you know how to take care of cast iron. No issues with any rust. I think it is worth the effort. I liked it so much, I bought the round burger press as well.

I’ve used it once to prepare my “Breakfast like a King” with steak, bacon…etc,” on my griddle. The bacon and steak were perfect. Nicely sized, with a lot of heft. Big enough to handle the bacon strips. Feels like a Quality, Lifetime purchase though I will at no point be surprised should that black rubber will come apart. Or, last forever. I might make a wood replacement, either way. The black handle gets a bit warmer than I expected, but not uncomfortably so( I used to weld for a living and was a bit surprised to note its warmth.) All-in-all, I am pleased.

I use a cast iron press for bacon, smash burgers, and browning ham slices and other things. I love it. But the one I had worked only in my large pans and flat griddles. I have a 7 inch cast iron I love because I can cover it and splash water in for steaming - great for perfect, quick sunny-side up fried eggs, hash browns, and many other things. But I couldn't smash or press in it with my standard rectangular cast iron press. This little beauty works in this pan. It is also perfect for smash burgers with all kinds of mixed-in fillings. It is heavy and solid, so great to purpose. The silicone handle is cool even when the press is very hot. It is easy to set down on handle and edge upside down and pick up while cooking so that the bottom press surface does not touch anything. Easy to clean with water and stays clean with water only (no soap) when treated like cast iron - oil surface when you get it and occasionally. If you do slip up and it gets a bit rusty, scrub with steel wool and water, dry, and oil again. Easiest way to dry is sit it on a warm cast iron pan. I love the twisty ridge grooves and what they do for burgers and sausage. Did I mention sausage?

I haven’t used my press yet but it is on the heavy side meaning it has a little weight to it. If you like smash burgers like I do this would be a great purchase for you 😊.

Compramos dos, para hacer en nuestras sartenes/planchas/barbacoas hamburguesas y es genial. Lo utilizamos tanto para aplastar tipo smash burger como para ponerle peso a cosas que queremos que se cocinen más rápidamente como setas o incluso tostando pan. El peso está perfecto y el agarre no se calienta y es cómodo. Hay que secarlas muy bien después de cada uso porque pueden oxidarse.

J'étais pressé de presser des burgers. Aussi, je me suis empressé d'ouvrir le paquet, de zapper la presse explicative et d'admirer l'objet. Bel objet. Ca promet de beaux BBQ.
