Disappointed, but hey ho! ### ⭐ Micro switch fault, terrible picture *by K***B on 22 August 2024* Unit physically fits a Tiguan 5N. This was bought to replace an old non-OEM camera that still worked, but the plastics had gone brittle and the rubber cap kept falling off. To summarise, this camera unit is rubbish. After the hassle of fitting it, the camera worked but the tailgate opener microswitch didn’t! Additionally, the socket for the switch didn’t seem to have a ‘click’ when connected, and I wouldn’t have had confidence in it not coming loose. The camera image is also worse than the 8+ year old one that it was intended to replace, and that was half the price of this one. It’s probably NTSC and not PAL, but no choice was offered if that is the case. I can’t return it because I had to butcher it to make a working one between what I had, due to time constraints. Anyway, I wouldn’t trust a replacement. I have fitted dozens of cameras and this is probably the worst one I have encountered.
