What are the dimensions of the housing?

4"1/4 x 2'1/4 It is very small but really bright, the night before I was working on my car for 3 hours and the brightness has not diminished yet and it is with the load with which it was packed, 100% recommended

Is the battery replaceable?

I haven't had the need to replace it. It is rechargeable, via a USB cable. I've hed several of these for a year now and they work great!

Could these be used roadside lights if you break down?

Not really there's no way to stand them on the side or end without them easily tipping over they have a magnet and a hook which are both very good and they're very bright and I like them a lot but not as roadside lights
