Review: Really useful nightlight for dimly lit areas areas - Really good emergency torch and light source for dimly lit areas I’ve had one for some time so I ordered another but the new one had a fault with the cradle which didn’t charge leaving it in power failure mode. I returned the faulty one which was refunded promptly and reordered so everything is ok now.
Review: Excellent light when activated by movement - Works absolutely fine. This was bought to replace a similar unit, that I had for best part of two decades, that was accidentally damaged. This unit gives a really good bright light when activated by movement, is remarkably slim and seems a perfect replacement for the previous unit. Durability - only time will tell. Highly recommended.

**Q: What do I do when I first get the item?**
A: You simply plug it into the wall and turn the power on. It will then start charging and be available to use.

**Q: Can the item be used just as a power failure light?**
A: Unfortunately on all models except for the 'Maxi' model the nightlights are active. However if you set the 'Maxi' model to OFF on the front slider switch this allows it to be used as a power failure light only.

**Q: How much power does it use?**
A: All the models only use power as and when they need it. As it is LED and induction charged they hardly draw any power and will cost you next to nothing.

**Q: Does the nightlight features work outside of the cradle?**
A: No, for all the nightlight features to be active the model will need to be in its charging cradle with the power turned ON. When the unit is outside of the cradle it is used as a torch.

I was after a plug in motion activated light for my downstairs hallway as it doesn't have any windows and stumbled across this. I have a young baby so spend a lot of time in the evenings running upstairs to settle him. This light is so handy in that it instantly illuminates the hallway and stairs so I can run up without switching on the lights or tripping in the dark! I also really like that the light instantly illuminates in a power cut for safety and peace of mind! My only critisism is that it's quite a harsh cold light, I'd prefer a warmer light - hence the 4 star review.
