Not protected in power surge
I ordered 3 extra collars for our system and one will not charge at all after the 3rd day but worst of all of the power even blinks the transmitter will NOT power itself on and will continuously shock dogs. Thank God we were home or it would’ve continued shocking I’m presuming since it was several minutes once we saw the power blink, heard all 4 dogs yelping loudly and could get down stairs to them ( we live on the river in a house on stilts). My babies were absolutely terrified to leave their kennels for well over a day. Also the collars are no where near consistent. I can have one on each dog and all but one go a certain distance and the other is left bound to the porch area because it Beeps if they move more than 10 ft away from the transmitter. Ordered a different brand to try with better reviews and back up for power outages.

Like this collar
Bought the unit almost two years ago and have gone through a couple collars. Collars hold up well with my dog and the only thing so far that will keep him home. Received one collar that didn't work, contacted the company and resolved the issue right away.

Dog stopped running off
So I have this dog who runs off all the time and we live out in the country so we don't have a fenced in back yard. I bought this collar and it works too good. Sometimes she'll get in a spot and it will beep her and she'll go back running to the back deck. I'm just happy that she won't run off again. But warning if the unit gets unplugged it will beep and shock the poor dog so they and not unplug the or take the collar off first.

Great fence collar
I like the fact that it keeps the dog in the yard without hurting it.

Has some flaws
I was recommended this by a friend who’s had great success with a young golden retriever. I decided to buy it for 3 of our dogs to keep them away from the road, neighbors, and away from the pond. They figured the beep out quickly and would move back in the parameters set. Which was great! However, our power has gone out a few times recently. When it’s out the transmitter beeps then shocks to signal reception loss. If I wasn’t readily available it would continue to shock the dogs until you turn their receivers off. My husband discovered this during the power outage as he picked it up to turn it off on the collar and it shocked him good. There’s no way of turning down the shock between the different receivers. My little Jack Russell can’t take the same strength of shock as the larger dogs. Unfortunately I’ve had them too long to return.
