He has a card from the Ice Rink enabling him to have them sharpened 4 times and he still has one left it is not that expensive and worth enquiring about. **Q: is this a soft toe skate ?** A: No. However very comfy. **Q: What size is eu 40 for these skates, is it uk 6 or 6.5. ideally uk 6.5 is better for me. size 6 is ok for me if not tight. i am a woman by the way.** A: Eu 40 is a men’s uk 6. I bought these skates in this size for my son. Really good quality for the price, he’s normally a uk 5.5 and says he still has plenty room when wearing really thick socks.
