How to change battery?

When it runs out of power, please change the whole indicator. I think i saw light turn red for half a second, but nothing after that. how do i know if i should change or not?

Red light is alert time to change filter, but I'm experiencing issues with this product. The Red light is turning on in 1 month, not post 200 gallons or 3 months. These unit replacement filters do not seem effective. Looking to find a better water filtering unit.
