**Q: I have a MAAX Cocoon jacuzzi.  Will this work?  I'd like to order today if so**
A: I don't know if the American Standard drain could be jury-rigged to work, but I would be surprised if it did work.  It's specific to only a couple of American Standard very deep tubs.  The picture of the MAAX Cocoon I saw looks totally different.

**Q: Is this satin nickel or brushed. the model number is the same as the brushed nickel on the american standard website. can someone verify which it is.**
A: Satin I think....in my tub it is covered and cannot be seen in any way so I don't totally remember. You still need to get the finishing drain plug.

**Q: Is this interchangeable with the 1599.500.020 drain?**
A: According to the manual for the tub you can use either 1599.500.020 [plastic] or the 1599.205.xxx [last three denote finish color]. So they are interchangeable.

**Q: Has anyone discovered an alternative to this drain (due to poor reviews?)  Please only respond if you have.**
A: No.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Don't believe the negative reviews, the fix is easy!!

First off, I am writing this review after two years of ownership. Yes, I too had the toe tapper drain problem. However, after a quick email to American Standard I received an email response with picture and written instructions and the fix took all of two minutes. 1) unscrew the mushroom top and remove the gasket. 2) unscrew the entire mechanism two or three rotations. 3) replace rubber stopper and mushroom top. Done! It's that simple. This is a lovely tub and drain combo and I will purchase again when we remodel the next bathroom.
