I can't give the math on the length by number. But its one of the thickest cotton pads I've used and perhaps 3 times as thick as the usual circular cotton pads you get from drug stores

Hi Jon D. I don't know if the Shiseido Facial Cotton is organic but it is of such superb quality. It is soft and it does not leave fibers on your skin when you remove makeup. I would recommend buying these over any other cotton pad.

Are these cotton squares single layer or are they two layers that can unfold to a larger cotton square?

They consist of multiple layers but do not open up to a larger square. They are very soft and thicker than most I've used before. I highly recommend them.

Very soft and great for sensitive skin

I had been using the Amazon Basics cotton rounds for a few years. Sometimes I find cotton rounds to be scratchy, especially around the eyes. I decided to try and find some that were softer and came across these. After reading the reviews I bought a pack. I have been using them for a few weeks and I really love them. They’re super soft and hold a good amount of micellar water without dripping. Because they are larger than cotton rounds and are square shaped I find them easier to hold and swipe across my skin. The pads are pretty thick and easy to pull apart to make two pads. They don’t leave any cotton fibers behind and are excellent for the removal of mascara. These are pricey but I don’t think I can go back to the rougher cotton pads. If it’s in your budget, then I recommend you splurge on these.
