It worked for me
Mine arrived today and I set to to restore a silver plated photo from which is about 35yrs young. It has fluted edges and over a period of time being cleaned the silver had work to the base brass around the raised flutes. I tried as per instructions with only a little gain however on my third go I put on a thick covering and left it on for 15 minutes. This polished up well and covered the brass. The frame is now as new.

Very happy
I dipped heavily tarnished and pitted silver plated forks into silver dip jewellery cleaner which removed the tarnish but left the forks yellow. Then I rubbed on this product with a cloth and within seconds they were back to beautiful shiny silver. I had an old rose gold plated over silver ring that had worn plating. As I haven't worn it in years anyway I took the risk of using this on it to see what would happen. It rubbed off the remaining old plating and now has a lovely silver finish. I am very happy and would repurchase.

Waste of Money
I've tried this on a couple of items that I wanted to silver plate - a pair of earrings, which it didn't work on at all, and a ring. The earrings, fair enough, had never been coated in silver, so I was dubious that it would work well - it didn't work at all. But the ring was already plated silver, and had just rubbed off a little in one very small area (less than 1cm) - but the silver solution disappointingly only covered a tiny bit of it. A waste of time and money in my experience, unfortunately.

Works well on worn silver plating
We've used one of Nushine's "cleaning plates" for many years, as it quickly and simply removes the tarnish from silver plated cutlery after use, especially with meat dishes. For some items which are more seriously tarnished I bought some of Nushine's silver maintenance solution. And from one initial trial on a particularly badly affected spoon, it does seem to work well to fix worn silver plating. The spoon wasn't exactly back to as-new, but definitely looked very much better than it did before. A further application would probably have made it even better. Nushine do have several different products and it can be hard to work out which is the one to get. There's lots of guidance on their web site but I'm sure they'd be more than happy to advise before you place an order and possibly get the wrong one.

Does what is says on the bottle
I bought this product, feeling very sceptical about the claims the manufactures make about it. But I can honestly say it works like they say it will, I have a necklace bought by my late husband, that had lost some of its lustre, but I poured some of the liquid into a glass bowl, covered the necklace in the liquid, left it for about ten minutes, wiped off the excess, and now it looks like new, I'm so happy I bought this product, I've been telling friends and family about it .

Just the job
Works well but be sure to wear gloves as reccomended or will stain fingers for WEEKS! But does eventually come off. Good product

Only works on cool-toned metals (such as silver or steel etc)
As a Jewellery Design Student, I bought this product because I needed my prototypes to have a nice, dark silver finish. Most of the reviews here were mixed... but I didn't have much time so I bought it. Firstly, I tested this on a small, clean sheet of brass and copper (washed with pumice & washing up liquid) to test if this works, however, no difference - not sure why but the solution wouldn't stay on. Next, I tried this on white metal or nickel which has been brass plated: In the first image, I simply sanded off with wet&dry paper the brass plate to unveil the white metal/nickel, I purposely left some brass on to check if the solution would work. The second image is showing brass plated compared to the filed one. I cleaned both them with pumice and washing up liquid and applied on the solution. Had completely no affect the pre brass plated. However, it did make the white metal more tanished (what I hoped for, I wanted a gun metal look) - it also polished it so the scratches are hardly seen - on the other hand, you can still see the brass patch therefore clearly proving it has no affect on warm toned metals. Another downside is that the bottle need more instructions, I realize if the solution was left on for more than 1 min it would be more effective. Overall - only good on cool toned metals such as silver, steel, tin, aluminium, nickel or white metal for a more tanished look.

When I first learned of this solution I was skeptical, then impressed and pleased to discover it does indeed work as advertised. I'm using it on two worn spots on 2 silverplate trays on display in my dining room. The liquid solution rubs on the areas of thinning silver and restores it to almost original looking condition. Very satisfied with the improvement.

I used this exactly as directed. You have to do a very small patch at a time. You have to keep rubbing for 20-30 seconds. These two pieces of jewellery in the photo were unwearable. They had oxidisation and dull patches in the silver. I am totally surprised by how good it is. I did the apple in five sections, the smaller each section the easier it is to ensure you do it correctly.

Tried this product every which way to cover the copper on a favourite ring, but did not adhere or be polished like the product said. Waste of money.
