YogaAccessories Supportive Round Cotton Yoga Bolster

Such a high quality bolster! I've been doing yoga for 18 years & love restorative. I became a yoga teacher 2 years ago & never bought any accessories (besides mats, oils, clothes). But then I did a yoga nidra training & the studio had these beautiful bright red bolsters and I had such a beautiful experience that I came home & ordered an identical bolster (this one) & a couple cheap falsa blankets and blocks & a strap for my home practice. It's been a nice addition even though old habits die hard & I usually revert to vinyasa on the lawn & this bolster sits against the stairway with my honeys air compressor & other tools. But, when I do bust it out it's pure heaven & my yoga nidra practice is ultra soothing & healing. It's solid supportive, highest quality, and perfect for restorative poses.

I ordered the Black and it came wrapped in a plastic bag inside the shipping box. I have not washed it yet, but would imagine from the fabric that there could be some shrinking (as noted by other reviews) - BUT....just like anything else made of this type of fabric that I wash, I will give it a good stretch a few times during its line (versus machine) drying. The bolster itself is a pretty standard size, nice and firm and appears to be of good quality. All around this is a great buy and a great value - so far no compromises for the slightly less expensive option compared to others of this size. Recommend purchasing if you are in the market.

I was looking for a cylindrical bolster to use instead of my rectangular block bolster. I needed something lighter and easier to wrap around during other yogic practices, not just restorative. This is a little wide in the circumference, but it’s only slightly over 5 pounds and is easier to wrap around and more comfortable to lay over you. Would recommend. Also, no bugs. I inspected immediately by taking off cover. It was wrapped in plastic and very clean, not reused at all.

I got this bolster to support my prenatal yoga practice at home and it's exactly what I wanted. It's firm but very comfortable, has retained it's circular shape so far but will gradually become oval with use, and I'm happy with it either way. I'm 5'5" and it's long enough to support my full spine (lower back, shoulders, neck, and head) when lying on it in inclined positions, and also runs the full length of my shin (ankle to knee) when propping my leg for side savasana (resting pose). It works for a variety of other restorative poses too, as expected. The only thing I don't use it for is as a body pillow in bed at night - my bed is on the softer side and my body sinks down just enough to make the height too tall for easy snuggling, at least until it compresses a bit more. Regular pillows work just fine under my knees and stomach in the meantime. Since I wasn't sure I'd need a bolster after pregnancy I didn't want to waste a lot of money on a more expensive model, but I'm so glad I got this one. It has transformed my practice completely and I get much more out of each session, plus, now that I have it I'm excited to use it for restorative poses even after pregnancy. If you're thinking about it, get it. Great bolster and I am very happy.

This is a high-quality bolster, but it is definitely a bit bigger than the ones I use at the studio. It is very solid and it looks and feels like it will hold its shape well. I have some disabilities, and I have ended up practicing Iyengar yoga, since I have felt so at home there, in contrast to vinyasa style yoga, which makes me feel like a reject, out-cast, and just plain not-good-enough. Iyengar yoga allows use of props to make sure you are properly aligned, and offers lots of modifications to traditional poses that people like me can actually attain. I like the bolster, so far - I'll try to update the review after more use. Update: I use this bolster, and feel it is holding up well, but I still find it a little too big.

I have never owned a bolster before. It has been a huge blessing!!! Along with its regular use for yoga poses and stretching, it has been priceless in helping me release tightness and stiffness in pecs, rhomboids, neck, back, and triceps by laying on it with my spine along its length and my rear end on floor (so that end of bolster is snug against my low back). What a fabulous tool!!!! Has really helped decrease pain and stiffness, and relief is usually within a few minutes.

I love this bolster!! I was nervous buying one online because I wanted a firm bolster that held its shape well. Luckily, this one is perfect! I use it constantly and it is still nice and round and firm. It's a great size and shape for yoga or just in general if you have low back issues and like to prop your knees up on something while lying on your back (I needed it for both). I loved it so much that I recently gifted one to a friend of mine for her baby shower!

My husband is in love with it. I use it for doing yoga, he uses it for putting his legs on while sleeping. It is enough heavy, the cover you can remove and wash in the washing machine. Also we sit on the floor so use to rest our hands. Very satisfied with the quality and size. And it is cotton.
