I read a lot of reviews before making a decision to buy thus stool. I was going going to buy a cheaper version but glad I didn't. The hinges are strong and of good quality and a bonus I didn’t have to get the screwdriver out. The size is just right and a it's a joy to use. I have the light bamboo, looks good in the bathroom and when folded fits neatly against a wall. Very happy with this.

I bought this stool for toilet reasons. It is beautiful in every respect, which seems an odd thing to say about a toilet stool, but there you are. However, either I have a lower level toilet than the norm, or else the feet on the bottom of the stool raises it just that little too high for comfort. I find the stool comes in handy for any high level cupboards etc I cannot reach with ease ... obviously it is not ideal for this, but due to its sturdiness I find it quite acceptable.
