Smoked Cods Roe 200-300g

I do normally respond to review requests. From time to time we like to treat ourselves to smoked cods roe. In the past I have purchased from a local fishmonger - on the odd occasion I have purchased from Selfridges. This time I purchased via Amazon (The Port of Lancaster Smokehouse is the supplier) - the product was promptly supplied at a comparable price - it was very well packaged and tasted very fresh - all in all it was superior product in every way.

Deliciously Smokey, lightly poach then slice and pan fry or freeze for a high protein snack at the ready. Support local smoke house - what a gem.

The taste us very bitter, I not what I expected! I will never recommend or buy again! I was disappointed

It's very good. The problem for me was the quantity. If you were sharing it with others that would be great . It was too much for me , I had to throw most of it away sadly.

Fresh, juicy, smokey, just as it ought to be and well packed with an ice pack which was still crunchy on delivery. I cut it up and froze several pieces to make it last!. You can make taramasalata for the summer but in autumn I just like it on rye toast rubbed with a little garlic and then sprinkle lemon juice and black pepper over the top . (some reviewers have complained about the tough skin so for those who are first timers, you scrape the roe off the skin which you then discard).

This was well oversalted to the point i could not eat it that was after slowly boiling it otherwise the service was prompt and packing first class

This quality smoked cods roe is excellent. It arrived a week before estimated and was packed well. Although one of cool bags split. I use it on toast and I made the best taramasalata I've had in a long time. The company and the product is highly recommended by me. Thank you.

Splendid product, I like roe, a person who" does not like roe " liked this. Very good value as a little goes a long way.
