Very pleasantly surprised
I know a bit about student violins as an ex school music teacher, and wanted one to practise on now I'm retired without disturbing my neighbours so I bought this. It was far better than I expected. The violin itself is well made and has none of the flaws you expect at this price ( bits of missing paint etc.) Everything that was provided, and there's lots, was more than adequate for the job. There was nothing that wasn't 100% satisfactory. OK, you're not getting a Strad but what you do get is: A very decent violin, a case, bow, rosin, two sets of strings, a violin to amp lead in case you need one, a good enough bridge, A 9v battery which fitted easily into the sound module at the back of the violin, a useful little booklet explaining how to set the violin up if you don't already know, and a set of heaphones which will at least do the job for a start. Everything worked fine, although I will be upgrading the strings and the headphones. If you're a beginner fitting the bridge and the strings is the dodgy bit, but rhe booklet is in good plain English and will help you. The violin sounds very good through the headphones but it actually makes just enough noise for you to practrise without, although it's quiet enought not to disturb anyone in any adjacent room. Great for kids and anyone who isn't a demanding professional player. I'm completely satisfied with my purchase.

Great product
After few weeks as an ameteur I'm very satisfied with this electric violin. It is lightweight and is less noisy than one that is wooden made. The amplifier produces minimal white noise and some parts by touch feel to have less quality but they do the job. I had to replace the shoulder rest because it broke.

Nice starter instrument.
Straight out of the box, it looks amazing, very nice bit of kit. It came with spare strings, two rosin packs, cables, headphones and a bunch of other bits. The Rosin was rock hard and I had to warm it up just to make it usable, but not that big of a deal. It came with a clip on tuner which was absolutely useless, not registering for the majority of the time, or registering incorrectly when it did pick up anything. I ended up using a different clip on tuner, and that worked just fine. Plugging in the battery and supplied (but very cheap feeling) headphones, it gave out a beautiful sound. This is advertised as a "silent" instrument, it is anything but... I took that to mean there would be little to no sound from the strings when not connected to an amp or headphones, but that is simply not the case... But this is not a big deal to me. There are one or two issues with the finish, some thin or even bare spots on the "sharper" edges of the body where you can see the wood through the black finish, but it's barely noticeable unless you really look very closely. It's not a top quality product, but still very nice for what it is. Could probably do with being a little cheaper, but still, I am very pleased with the instrument overall.

Good but replace bridge
The body, case, bow, headphones are all good. Strings are okay. Rosin and shoulder rest are bad but easily replaceable. I noticed I kept hitting the wrong strings which I’d never done before, and realised the bridge was far too flat. Replaced bridge and problem disappeared, definitely something new learners may not realise is the issue!

Patience is the key, you will be rewarded
This was a gift that was liked and appreciated. The case is good quality much better than either of us expected. The violin works perfectly and sounds good but not like an acoustic one. The bow is good enough for beginner level. The rosin while usable isn’t the best. As the title of this review says patience is needed. It took me 2 hours to string and tune this violin. I’d never done this before. Then after finally getting it to hold tune it was out of tune 2 days later after a couple of hours play time. This appears to be quiet normal according to the instructions and a music shop I visited. Finally after about three weeks it holds tune very well with only fine tuning adjustments needed taking about 10mins before a play session. Tips on tuning- watch some YouTube videos. Tune to approximate note then finish using the fine tuner knobs. Work from the inside out alternating side to side. And importantly ensure the bridge is installed correctly and remains perfectly straight you will need to keep adjusting the bridge during tuning. Also note the bridge doesn’t have ridges. The ridges seem to form during the tuning process and this I think is why it took so long to tune and hold tune. All in all I’m happy with this purchase and my wife is happy playing the violin again after a long break. Would I recommend this product? Yes. But you will need patience before you can play and practice.

Disappointed
Really wanted this to be ok for silent practice. I had low expectations at the price and knew it wasn't going to be great. Unfortunately this is just low quality and not fit for purpose. The neck snapped under the tension of tightening the strings, which is a reflection of the build quality. Looks like these are generic Chinese mass produced E-Violins that different companies add their own branding to. Save your money and spend a little more to get something that works.

Excellent produit, super look.
