Purchasing the Elenker Stand and assist device was truly one of the best decisions I could have made to support my 78-year-old mother as she recovers from a stroke and a broken hip. I can't express enough how much easier this platform has made her recovery for both of us. It allowed me to move her safely around the house with minimal effort, which eased a great deal of stress during such a challenging time. This unit not only provided physical support but also inspired my mom to push herself toward recovery. She no longer saw herself as bedbound, which made a world of difference in her mindset. I could take her to the restroom whenever she needed, allowing her to maintain her dignity and comfort instead of relying on bedpan use. Beyond just transferring her from one spot to another, this unit became a valuable tool for her physical therapy. She could safely perform sit-ups, gradually rebuilding strength in her knees and thighs. Every penny spent on this device was absolutely worth it! The lift was, first of all, very well packaged and easy to assemble. It took little time and instructions were easy to follow. The lift is very sturdy and while heavy, it is very easy to maneuver around the house for the most part. We have had issues with a couple of entryways but overall the lift is great. Very sturdy, very sure footed. Our elderly aunt has lost some feeling in her feet and this lift has made a huge difference. They use something similar in the hospital and her doctor recommended this one to have for the house. Great purchase.

A good hoyer lift or similar lift are really expensive- they work great, very safe and simple to use. This unit isn't expensive and works very well and is safe and simple to use. For home use it is perfect I am able to transfer my wife safely from the bed to her transport chair or chair lift with no issues or problems. She has almost no mobility in her feet so I have to do the bulk of the work of getting feet on the platform etc. No issues with any of this unit is easy to work around from all angles and we have had no problems or slips of any kind. The 2 seat cushions move easily and provide the necessary support when she leans back on them. They do have a locking mechanism which makes moving them out of the way a problem sometimes since I can't always reach them to pull the lock away and move the cushion out of the way. This is part of the 1 star deduction. The unit was easy to assemble and instructions were clear cut and easy to follow no problems took about 45 minutes. Unit is made of heavy enough metal that it provides a solid frame but not so heavy it can't be moved. We have berber carpet which is a low pile carpet. Empty the unit moves very easily with about 130 pounds it is a bit difficult to get moving and to steer since picking up resistance from the carpet. Once in motion doesn't take too much effort to move. On a tile or wood floor it would work great. I think the casters could be made of a different material to allow it to roll better on carpet so this is the other part of the 1 star reduction. It backs up to and slides under the bed so you can position the person with their legs against the side of the bed meaning the person is securely placed on the edge so no issues with them slipping etc. Works great with the chair lift on the landing and decently with the transport chair. With the transport chair the width of the back of the stand and the chair are the same so have to shift slightly to get close enough to the chair for a transfer. This means your pulling or sitting the person down at a slight angle rather than head on. Not a problem and not a fault of the stand just something to be aware of. Would like it if the stand's width was about 1.5-2 inches more narrow. It will just barely fit through most doors in the house except the primary bathroom. We have a walk in shower and it would be nice to transfer her directly to the transfer bench in the shower, unfortunately can't fit the darn thing through a 24" wide door. When built they used a sliding pocket door which means a non-standard width. Overall very pleased with the unit it is been in use for a few weeks and looks like it will provide a lot of service and should last for years. Great product for the price.

The over all frame is solid but within 6 months to a year of purchase we started having issues with the seat support pads. For us it is used multiple times a day for one person weighing 180. I didn’t ask for them to repair it but I called, emailed through product support and tried multiple times to buy replacement pads. I have never once received a reply from this company. We are working to replace this piece of equipment and will not go with this brand. There is no support.

My wife and I are not able to move my disable father around the house when it's necessary. This equipment makes our job a lot easier, no struggling and saving our backs. It is very very helpful to him and us who have to take care of him day and night. Even his home nurses, OT, PT who come to our home are interested seeing it and said they will recommend to their other patients. They said it looks great and not too bulky comparing to the ones they usually see at the hospital. It's well built, perfect size, good quality and competitive price on the market. Thanks to the seller for this awesome product. Will recommend to family or friends as well.

Mobility issues with my Mother and being able to help her to the Bathroom, Wheelchair and certain other situations has helped me to be more efficient and is also easier on my Back. Definitely one of the best pieces of medical equipment we have. Worth the money.
