Great Value! Does the Job and easy to use.
I’m one of those people who only had a few pieces of jewelry and I wear them All. The. Time. That means my diamond stud earrings, diamond hugger earrings and rings get dirty and need a good cleaning at least once a month. It was tine to get a machine. I chose this one after reading lots of reviews. And I’m not at all disappointed. The size is just right. I keep it in a cabinet under the sink and pull it out about once a month to clean my rings, tennis traveler and earrings and even my eye glasses. I fill it with warm water and add about a tablespoon of window cleaner. I run the machine for one cycle (3 mins) sometimes 2 cycles. And my jewelry comes out looking great. I don’t think that the quality is as good as you’ll get with higher priced machines. But I’m thrilled with the results. I also clean my jewelry more often so it looks bright and shines all the time.

Using the right solvent makes all the difference!
I wasn't sure if this would be a cheap, lame wannabe product trying to piggyback on the hype of $$$$ ultrasonic cleaners, but didn't really work itself. When I got it, my first try was to clean the green oxidized sludge off my frameless glass nosepieces that were too hard to get to even with a tiny pick. My first run with the US cleaner wasn't great - I used only water, and the first run got about half of it off, but it pretty much stopped there even after running it 3 more times in a row (3 mins per cycle x 3), and I had plenty of green gunk still caked onto it. To be fair, that remaining stuff was really thick and gooey - literally like near-solid sticky grease (yuk). I then tried adding a few drops of Dawn dishwasher soap in there as some reviewers have done - still no difference. I was pretty disappointed. I felt let down, but in reading some online recommendations, I decided to give it another go with some diluted generic citrus degreaser that I had bought for general cleaning and my bike. Figured I'd just recycle the degreaser after use and pour it back in a bottle. Filled the chamber will the diluted degreaser (it's like Simple Green, just orange.) WOW - night and day difference. The green stuff immediately started coming off the nosepieces. It was so thick that it literaly took 3 more cycles of 3mins each to get it all out, but once it was done, every single spec of green had been knocked off the nosepieces, even from the crevices with the metal. It literally looks brand new. I can barely believe it. So this machine DOES actually work, and works very well, but be prepared to look into helpful solvents if water/dish soap doesn't work immediately. For stuff like nosepiece crud, a degreasing-type solvent like citrus cleaner or SimpleGreen will probably work as it did for me.

great item to have!
Disclaimer :In exchange for this review I got an extended warranty but it is still my own opinion. That said, this is a great tool. I was searching for a cleaning solution when I came across this and figured well, $13 for a solution or $30 for a fancy cleaner? I decided to try it. The first day I got it, we started throwing all types of things in it. Rings, pendants, pocket knives, a watch, the works. It worked pretty well. Watching the dirt float off some of these items was amazing! It didn't get all of the dirt, but some of these items had seen hard dirty work and they were noticeably cleaner. I keep it on my bathroom sink so I can throw water in the tank and clean my wedding rings every few days. I work outside in a dusty environment and the nooks and crannies get caked with dust and sweat. Gross! The magnasonic does a decent job of cleaning them out. I've found its most efficient to use a brush (like a soft bristled craft paintbrush) to loosen most of the dirt, and then throw it in the magnasonic for a round or two. Then I use a polishing cloth on it and wow! Looks better than when I get it cleaned at the jewelry store. My rings get so dirty it's nice to have the ability to properly clean them at home on a regular basis, instead of letting the dirt build up over time. I'm so happy I decided to give this a try. I wish I would have known something like this was so affordable. I would have gotten one years ago!

Love using this to clean our glasses and even my dental retainer. Cleans well - gets right into the corners of the frames and gets all the grease and dirt out. Good product.

Ordered in UK. Turned up with American plug. Paid for adapter from Boots. Plugged in and it doesn’t even work! - Do not order from here if you live in UK.

I ordered this with fairly low expectations of what it would achieve. I mean, it doesn't require any magical solution to clean your jewelry, so how could it possibly work well? I went to the jewellers last week and got a couple of items cleaned and was amazed at how they looked with a professional cleaning. I asked the jeweller if he thought this unit would work or if I'd try it once & return it and he basically said it would be junk and to just come back to them for cleaning. Well - this machine arrived last night so I tried it on a few other items. WOW. It worked just as well as the professional job by the jeweller! I would highly recommend this for cleaning gold and diamond jewelry to keep them looking brand new! This unit does not have a timer that can be set - I just ran it for 90 seconds with straight tap water, and it worked like a charm.
