Wow, I could have used this when I first started recording events outside. It fits well and does the Job of shading the screen. Well done.

I have the Panasonic HC-X1 and AG-UX90 cameras and these JJ 3.5" LCD hoods fits well. These hoods doesn't sit on the LCD screen at all, they sit on the LCD frame instead, NOT covering any information on the screen. The 1st and 2nd photo shows without and with LCD hood so you can see that it doesn't sit on the LCD screen. These panasonic cameras LCD screens are terrible in sunlight. In my 3rd and 4th photos show outdoor senario without and with the hood. The hood reduced the "milky" look and shows more color, making it easier to focus, iris, and see the settings. The hood is a solid harder piece of cardboard or plastic and is covered with some vinyl wrap like imitation leather. The velcro straps are very well built. With that said, like any hood, keep in mind using the touch screen is a little difficult to reach unless you have longer fingers. However, you still have the buttons on the camera too. The unfortunate thing, these hoods can't be folded flat to put in the camera bag, that's why the 4 stars.

I bought this for a sun shade for a portable GPS in my convertible. The reason I bought it is because the description said it was for a 3.5 in. screen. The actual measurement of the sunshade is 4.5 in. It is too big for my application. It would have been perfect if it was the advertised size of 3.5. in. I went through a lot of trouble getting it to fit.
