Tablet at a good price
Good tablet, especially for the price. Not as fast as the high end models but the price reflects that.

Good size, ideal as a reader.
Great price. I use this mainly as a reader as most of my books are on Google Play Books but is a very good android tablet. Quick start-up and navigation. Good quality and size of screen and quite light. Good that it comes with a protective case with built-in stand.

Great Kindle alternative
£80 on a BF deal makes this a great Kindle alternative. It's certainly not high performance, but for TV, books, and shopping it's fine and it runs Android so you get a proper app store.

Good value
This is our first tablet and so we have nothing to compare it with. It was easy to set up and get going and it has a good battery life. The case complete with stand was a bonus as we were not sure if it came with this or not. The only negative was the screen protector which I found impossible to fit without bubbles and so it went in the bin. But that's not such a big issue and we would definitely buy this product again.

Disappointed
Wasn't expecting this from Lenovo product. I always had a very good experience until now. I am disappointed with the speed and performance of this device. It is very slow, kids can't play games. It freezes time to time. Disappointed to buy this.

The wife; she says "Yeah!"
Bought this 4th Gen M8 table to replace a 3rd Gen M7 after it's USB port failed to survive being dropped with the USB cable inserted. Up to that point the M7 had proved a superb tool allowing my wife to read eBooks, stream films and "shopping" tasks. The loss of the M7 was unfortunate as it worked faultlessly until it could no longer be charged reliably. The M8 had a high bar to clear, but clear it it has, with ease. Every element of the M8 is simple better being the smoother, faster performance or simply the clearer, sharper screen. If there is a downside then this is limited to the time it took to take the tablet from first power up through the many, many software patches and upgrades before reaching the final "your device is up to date" message. Worth the effort in the end.

Bought to use as an ereader
The price of e-readers are stupid these days and nearly all of them are tied to proprietary systems that are designed to rip you off. I have hundreds of epub ebooks, so I needed something to read them on after my trusty Nook gave up the ghost after 16 years of faithful service. Setup was straightforward but the Books folder is linked to, you guessed it, Google Books. You can’t put your ebooks there, never mind how logical you think that would be,! Connected this tablet to my PC and transferred all my books into the Downloads folder of the tablet, downloaded a free e-reader app and everything is good to go. If, like me you just want a plain and simple ebook reader and not the plethora of other stuff on this gadget, go into Settings turn Wi-Fi and Bluetooth off, together with all the notifications settings you can find. That sai this gadget is the perfect size for an e-reader the battery life is excellent, provided you’ve turned all the rubbishy stuff off.

Slow and no case in the box
All I wanted was a simple small tablet to run spotify on, linked via bluetooth to the hifi, so we can see the interface from the other side of the room. It doesn't need to run anything else. This little tablet does that, just about. It's slow, it often feels like it's ignored you then suddenly spurts into life and acts on all the frustrated clicks you did hoping something would happen. The item title says it comes with a clear case. it does not. Be pefectly clear about this. THERE IS NO CASE! So you try and contact the support people. Hmm goes to a razer website instead. No sign of anything Lenovo tablet-ish. Worse still it takes you to razer US. Less than helpful. More than helpful however are Amazon customer support who helped with the missing case issue in an acceptable manner (well done customer services!) Thankfully the case was not why I chose this tablet so while I'm annoyed I'm not gutted.
